Job description
Day to day roles and responsibilities: • The candidate will be modifying existing programs in ControlLogix processors. Additional design and programming of new processors will also be required after all changes to current code have been made. • The candidate will be incorporating rfid into the production line and will modify/replace existing rfid products as required. • The candidate will create the required entries in the new MES system to allow communication with the line controllers. Key Responsibilities: • Lead problem solving and improvement activity • Manage/lead planning and implementation of capital and major projects • Understand and support the key Safety • Participate in the development and maintenance of process documentation • Work cross-functionally with team members, trades, peers, etc.
Skills/Experience/ Education: • Four (4) year engineering degree or equivalent experience required BSEE, or BSCS preferred • 5-7 years’ experience required ( 10 to 15 years’ experience required for non college degreed candidates, no conversion offered) • Understanding of manufacturing processes • Project management experience • Industrial controls systems experience Skills: • Use of common approaches to problem solving (Six Sigma, 7-step, FMEA, FTA, etc.) • Knowledge of quality procedures and systems (training required once hired) • Understanding of statistical process control, process capability, and data analysis • Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Project) • Understanding of IMS (Preferred) • Software experience with the following products: RSSQL, RSLogix5, RSLogix500, RSLogix5000, RSView32 • Overall understanding of HMI applications and Controls System architecture interacts with IT systems
