Job Description Location: Education/Mabel Bassett Correctional Center This is an on-site position and is not eligible for remote work. Required: Please upload your Oklahoma Teaching Certificate. Statutory – salary is based on education and experience. Typ i cal Funct i ons : Conducts classes i n elementary or secon dary s chool subjects, such as sc i ence, b i ology, Engl i sh, soc i al stud i es, mathemat i cs, f i ne arts, commerc i al arts, pract i cal arts and phys i cal educat i on; conducts classes i n language and language development and speech and speech read i ng for spec i al pup i ls. Plans and lays out courses of study for subjects taught; g i ves i nstruct i o ns; has a spec i f i c f i eld or grade level; prepares and adm i n i sters e x am i nat i ons; prepares var i ous reports, such as progress reports, da i ly attendance reports and report cards. Dev i ses an d uses spec i al i nstruct i onal mater i als or teach i ng a i ds for subjects taught i n regular elementary and secondary school programs; g i ves i nd i v i dual i nstruct i ons, encouragement, counsel i ng and gu i dance to students as necessary. Ma i nta i ns classroom and corr i dor d i sc i pl i ne; adv i ses and ass i sts i n plann i ng and superv i s i ng class and student club act i v i t i es; prepares and grades e x am i nat i on papers; prepares reports on attendance, progress a nd capab i l i t i es of each pup i l for adm i n i strat i ve purposes.
