The Coverage Lead Home Delivery Driver will be primarily responsible for supporting open route coverage for scheduled/unscheduled absences for a given territory and support training for new team members. **Typical Schedule:** 4 day work week, Tuesday-Friday **Details:**This route includes/requires travel to help cover in other territories as required, potentially some travel on Mondays to location. Can be up to 25% travel with hotels and meals provided for any required overnight stays. **Pay:** $22 per hour **Monthly Bonus Opportunity!** **Address:** 1 Scrivner Dr. Cheektowaga, NY 14227 **Offer of employment is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check, where permitted by law.** ### Position responsibilities may include, but not limited to - Travel to help cover routes in other territories; up to 25% travel - Safely operate company vehicle and obey traffic laws at all times - Load meals into company vehicle at designated cold storage facility - Deliver meals to our clients, often taking meals into clients’ homes - Make phone calls to clients when delivery issues arise or if necessary for your region - Accurately and consistently record deliveries on MMHD delivery application - Consistently follow all food related sanitation/food safety procedures - Provide excellent customer service to clients at all times - Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment in a safe operating manner - Report any equipment failures and vehicle damage immediately to supervisor so proper repairs can be scheduled in a timely manner - Assist with vehicle and driver audits - Ensure deliveries occur in compliance with established protocols - Manage daily deliveries and unsuccessful/returned product - Identify and complete routine vehicle maintenance ### Required skills and experience - High School Degree, GED or equivalent - Must possess valid driver’s license - Must be at least 18 years of age - Minimum of 1 year of delivery driving experience - Ability to manage time and balance multiple priorities to accomplish goals - Excellent driving (DMV) record - Must be able to operate a smart phone and/or tablet - Ability to work a flexible schedule including flexible hours - Experience utilizing e-mail and phone calls to communicate effectively - Strong, clear communication skills; must be able to speak/read/write English - Must be familiar with and comfortable using and following GPS routing - Basic math skills - Must be able to drive in various types of weather and traffic conditions - Prior experience adhering to company policies and showing core values - Pass a post offer drug screen and background check - Pass a post offer MVR Lookup ### Preferred experience - 1 year previous supervisory level experience - 2 years driving or delivery experience - Previous delivery driving experience in a customer-facing environment - Experience completing high-volume delivery routes in residential areas - Strong customer service experience with the ability to communicate professionally and courteously with customers in their homes - Experience working independently while meeting productivity and on-time delivery expectations - Experience in roles requiring frequent driving, time management, and direct customer interaction ### Physical requirements - Physical stamina to stand and walk for long periods - Able to push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds - Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus - Able to perform repetitive movements - Able to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)
