Overview 20four7VA is seeking offshore independent contractors to deliver remote services to clients worldwide, with a primary focus on developed markets such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia. A Los Angeles-based financial planning practice is seeking an experienced Appointment Setter to conduct outbound calls and schedule qualified prospects for Zoom consultations. The client will provide prospect information, scripts, the calling system, and Calendly availability. The VA's responsibility is to conduct professional outreach, briefly explain the reason for the call, generate interest in reviewing the prospect's retirement accounts, and schedule appointments with the financial professional. This is an appointment-setting position, not a financial advisory or sales-closing role. The objective of each engagement is to assist the client in improving business efficiency, enhancing service delivery, or supporting operational functions through high-quality, task-specific services rendered by a qualified contractor. Scope of Services Contractors will be required to provide services that align with the following client tasks: RESPONSIBILITIES Spend approximately 75% of working hours conducting outbound cold calls using client-provided prospect lists. Work from approved financial-services scripts. Ask prospects when they last reviewed their retirement accounts. Briefly communicate approved reasons for conducting a financial review. Handle basic objections professionally. Schedule qualified prospects through Calendly. Record calling outcomes and follow-up information in spreadsheets. Maintain consistent activity during assigned calling blocks. Participate in client-led script training, role-play, and call practice before conducting live outbound calls. The VA will not be expected to make live calls immediately upon starting and will first be given time to learn and practice the scripts. Learn and properly use the client’s power dialer, including understanding the workflow and required steps when an appointment is scheduled. Track calling activity, appointments scheduled, and prospect follow-up outcomes. Spend approximately 15% of working hours conducting outbound email outreach and follow-up to prospects as directed by the client. Email management and sending will be a secondary responsibility. Meet client-established KPIs and performance expectations for outbound calling and appointment setting. Each engagement is based on a defined scope of work and is governed by an independent contractor agreement. Services must be performed professionally, with adherence to any timelines, guidelines, and deliverables agreed upon in writing. Skills The Contractor must demonstrate proficiency in the following, depending on the Client’s requirements: Cold calling experience required Appointment-setting experience required Power dialer experience required Financial services, insurance, mortgage, banking, or similar experience preferred Strong spoken English required Experience using scripts while maintaining a conversational tone Experience handling sales objections and difficult prospect conversations preferred Outbound email outreach and follow-up experience preferred Ability to quickly learn and consistently follow client-provided scripts Strong KPI and performance-driven mindset Ability to participate in role-play, accept coaching, and apply feedback before transitioning to live outbound calls Ability to quickly learn and follow the client’s power dialer workflow and appointment-setting process IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE Confident and professional on the phone Strong outbound calling background Natural conversational style Comfortable handling objections Persistent without being aggressive Strong appointment-setting ability Comfortable speaking with U.S.-based consumers Reliable and performance-driven Quick learner who can adapt to new scripts, calling systems, and workflows Receptive to client-led training, role-play, and coaching Able to apply feedback quickly and demonstrate proficiency before handling live calls Highly motivated by measurable results and appointment-setting performance Able to manage secondary email outreach responsibilities while maintaining a strong focus on outbound calling APPLICATION SOFTWARE KNOWLEDGEABLE / REQUIRED Power Dialer Systems – Required 2X System – Preferred / Client Training Available Calendly Excel / Google Sheets CRM-Based Calling Systems – Preferred Email Outreach / Email Management Platforms – Preferred Work Schedule Contracted Hours per Week: 10 Hours/week for the first two weeks (with the potential to increase to 20 hours/week if performance is good) Scheduled Working Days: Monday through Friday (unless otherwise mutually agreed in writing) Daily Working Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM PST Note: The Company will make reasonable efforts to align the Assigned VA’s schedule with the Client’s preferred hours as set forth above. However, availability may vary based on time zones, capacity, and the contracted hours set in this SOW. Any changes must be mutually agreed to in writing through a revised SOW.
