Role Summary The Production Manager – JAMS will be responsible for managing the planning, tracking, coordination, and delivery discipline of AI-native content productions within the JioStar AI Media Studio (JAMS). This role sits at the intersection of creative production, VFX/animation/post-production management, workflow systems, vendor coordination, and AI-led production execution. The ideal candidate brings strong experience managing complex creative production environments across VFX, animation, post-production, digital content, or emerging AI-native workflows. You will help JAMS teams move from concept to production-ready output by building clear schedules, tracking systems, reporting mechanisms, vendor workflows, review processes, and delivery frameworks across active PODs and projects. Key Responsibilities AI-Native Production Management • Manage day-to-day production planning and execution across JAMS projects, PODs, creative teams, technical teams, and external partners. • Translate creative ambition, scripts, treatments, visual references, and technical requirements into executable production plans. • Coordinate across Creative Technologists, Producers, Narrative and Visual Storytelling Leads, Writers, Editors, VFX/Post teams, Product, Engineering, Data Science, and vendor teams. • Maintain visibility on project scope, milestones, dependencies, review cycles, vendor readiness, resource needs, and delivery timelines. • Help teams move from experimentation and prototypes into structured production execution without losing speed or creative flexibility. Production Planning, Scheduling and Tracking • Build and maintain production schedules, milestone plans, shot/asset trackers, delivery trackers, review calendars, and status reports. • Track project progress across concepts, scripts, storyboards, animatics, previs, AI generation, VFX/post, edit, sound, QC, and final delivery stages. • Monitor scope, bid assumptions, schedule health, team capacity, vendor capacity, resource utilization, and delivery risks. • Organize dailies, reviews, stand-ups, planning meetings, retrospectives, and follow-up actions. • Surface blockers early and drive clear follow-through on decisions, priorities, and next steps. Production Workflow Systems and Reporting • Own and maintain production workflow systems for JAMS projects, including show trackers, shot/asset trackers, milestone dashboards, review trackers, vendor trackers, and delivery reports. • Configure and operate production management tools such as ShotGrid/Shotgun, Ftrack, Airtable, Notion, Jira, Monday, Excel/Sheets, or equivalent systems based on production needs. • Translate creative and technical production workflows into clear tracking structures, statuses, handoffs, owners, timelines, and reporting views. • Use production data to surface risks, bottlenecks, vendor capacity issues, bid-vs-actual movement, schedule drift, and delivery health. • Partner with Product and Engineering teams to improve internal JAMS production tools, dashboards, automations, and reporting workflows. Vendor and Cross-Functional Coordination • Support vendor onboarding, capability assessment, production briefing, schedule alignment, delivery tracking, and quality follow-through. • Coordinate with external VFX, animation, sound, post-production, AI tooling, and creative vendors as required by each project. • Maintain clear communication between internal creative/technical teams and external partners. • Ensure vendors understand creative intent, technical methodology, asset requirements, review cadence, naming/versioning expectations, and delivery specifications. • Help build strong production partnerships that improve quality, efficiency, and predictability across JAMS workflows. Quality, Risk and Delivery Discipline • Maintain a holistic view of project health across scope, schedules, resources, review cycles, production quality, and final delivery. • Identify production risks early and escalate them with clear options, trade-offs, and recommended next steps. • Support QC and delivery readiness across scripts, visual outputs, edits, VFX/post assets, sound, metadata, and final publishing requirements. • Drive documentation of learnings, blockers, retrospectives, process improvements, and repeatable production practices. • Ensure JAMS productions remain organized, accountable, and delivery-focused while operating in a fast-evolving AI-native environment. Requirements • 8+ years of professional experience in production management across VFX, animation, post-production, film, streaming, digital content, gaming, virtual production, or adjacent creative technology industries. • Strong experience managing schedules, trackers, milestones, resources, review cycles, delivery plans, and cross-functional production dependencies. • Strong experience managing production workflow systems, trackers, dashboards, schedules, review cycles, and reporting for VFX, animation, post-production, digital content, or AI-native production. • Familiarity with production management tools such as ShotGrid/Shotgun, Ftrack, Airtable, Jira, Notion, Monday, Excel/Sheets, or equivalent systems. • Experience coordinating with creative teams, production teams, post-production teams, VFX/animation teams, technology teams, and external vendors. • Ability to translate creative and technical requirements into practical production plans, schedules, trackers, and reporting structures. • Strong understanding of production stages such as scripting, storyboarding, animatics, previs, asset creation, AI generation, edit, VFX/post, sound, QC, and delivery. • Strong communication, stakeholder management, organization, documentation, and follow-through skills. • Ability to manage ambiguity, evolving scope, changing priorities, and fast-moving production timelines. • High ownership, learning agility, and comfort operating in an AI-native production environment. Good to Have • Experience working with VFX or animation vendors, bid tracking, bid-vs-actual reporting, vendor capacity planning, or shot/asset delivery workflows. • Exposure to AI-assisted production tools, GenAI content workflows, virtual production, real-time workflows, or emerging media production technologies. • Experience partnering with product or engineering teams to build or improve production tools, dashboards, automations, or workflow systems. • Experience supporting multiple shows, films, series, promos, digital-first content, or short-form productions simultaneously. • Familiarity with creative production pipelines across writing, visual development, CG/3D, compositing, sound, edit, and post-production.
