Position Requirements CRNA opportunity with Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, a 340-bed community hospital with a Level II Trauma Center in Richmond, VA Description Recently designated as a Level II Trauma Center, Henrico Doctors’ Hospital in Richmond, VA, is seeing growth in its volume of obstetric and surgical cases. The community hospital with 340 beds features around-the-clock pediatric and adult emergency room care. It is home to the Virginia Institute of Robotic Surgery Center, The Heart Center at Henrico Doctors’, Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute, Primary Stroke Center, Women’s Hospital, and the Virginia Transplant Center, which has a specialty in kidney transplants. The local practice also provides coverage to Retreat Doctors’ Hospital, Parham Doctors’ Hospital, and five ambulatory surgical centers. Requirements Responsibilities Pre-anesthesia assessment Obtains and/or verifies patient consent Discusses anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition Performance of clinical intervention as needed Requirements Current license as a registered professional nurse Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists Lifestyle Richmond, VA: Richmond has earned a designation as the happiest city in the United States, according to a U.S. National Bureau of Economic Research study.
