Customer Support Group Administrative Assistant (Hybrid)

Job description

Behind every great teacher is someone making sure the details are handled. As a CSG Administrative Assistant, you'll keep the operational engine running for Lakeshore's CCA workforce — managing payroll records, coordinating travel and expenses, and supporting new hires from day one. Your accuracy and follow-through help our field teams stay focused on what matters most: getting great learning materials into the hands of educators and children. A day on the job looks like this: Review and reconcile payroll and timekeeping records across multiple systems, identifying and resolving discrepancies — such as missing punches, overtime, or sick time — in partnership with supervisors, employees, and staffing vendors Track and reconcile employee expenses and mileage reimbursements, review receipts, code submissions accurately, and complete monthly credit card reconciliation Research vendors, coordinate bookings, and reconcile invoices; manage employee travel arrangements including flights, hotels, and rental cars Support new hire onboarding by sending welcome materials, coordinating system access, and tracking completion of required training and compliance courses Draft clear, professional correspondence for internal and external stakeholders and pitch in on time-sensitive projects to keep the team moving Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for: Required: 1–2 years of administrative or operations experience High school diploma or equivalent Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Comfortable managing multiple priorities accurately under deadlines Able to work onsite at our Carson, CA office on a hybrid schedule Preferred: Associate's or bachelor's degree 3+ years of administrative experience, in timekeeping, or expense management Familiarity with Salesforce or SAP What sets you apart: You catch the small things — a missing punch, a miscoded expense — before they become bigger problems You stay steady when priorities shift, pivoting quickly without losing accuracy or missing a beat You ask good questions when you're unsure rather than guessing, and you take feedback as a chance to get sharper And here’s our end of the bargain! At Lakeshore, we pay local market wages for employees that reside within Los Angeles and Orange Counties. For this position, new employees joining Lakeshore who live within Los Angeles and Orange Counties are typically brought into the organization at an hourly rate between $18.02-$20.50 depending on relevant experience & skillset. This range is indicative of projected hiring range. The annual base compensation will take into account each candidate's relevant experience, location, and skillset. Bonus eligible Paid leave for new parents to support work/life balance and family bonding Excellent medical/dental and vision coverage—EPO, PPO and HSA 401(k) retirement plan with company contribution (because you will retire someday) Flexible benefits—choose what you like, ignore the rest On-site preschool for our employees’ children On-site employee gym for all levels/fitness needs Generous employee discount Casual dress…and we really mean it At Lakeshore, we know our diversity makes us stronger, and when everyone feels included and valued, we all win.
