Data Analyst

Job description

**ABOUT NEXGEN CLOUD** NexGen Cloud is a fast-growing GPU cloud and AI infrastructure business. We're the company behind Hyperstack — a self-serve, on-demand cloud platform built for high-performance AI, HPC, and compute-heavy workloads. Powered by 100% renewable energy and NVIDIA architecture, Hyperstack gives teams from AI startups to enterprise the compute they need, without the cost or complexity of legacy cloud. We move fast, solve hard problems, and build things that matter. If you want ownership, real impact, and a front-row seat to one of the most consequential infrastructure shifts of the decade — this is the place. **THE ROLE: Data Analyst** NexGen Cloud is moving to a data-driven way of running the business. Right now, revenue, occupancy, billing and pipeline data live across data warehouses, business systems and APIs, and the numbers don't always agree. We're building out our Strategic Finance team so that leadership, sales and operations can rely on one set of figures and act on them daily. This role suits someone who enjoys the technical craft of data and wants to learn the commercial side of the AI compute market. We'll teach you that context. When a number looks wrong, you'll dig until you find why, and you'll come back with a fix as well as the problem. **WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING** Rather than a checklist, here's what success in this role actually looks like: - Build and maintain the pipelines that bring data from across the business into Databricks and Power BI, and automate the manual steps along the way - Own the daily revenue and occupancy reporting that leadership uses to track how the GPU fleet is performing - Check that what we bill matches what customers actually used, covering power draw, utilisation, asset registers and credits - Support commission calculations and give sales leadership a clear view of pipeline health, conversion and churn - Model pricing options and deal economics so investment decisions are grounded in real numbers - Validate every figure before it reaches leadership or anyone outside the company - Help the wider team work confidently with BI tools and data **ABOUT YOU** We care more about how you think and work than a perfect CV. You'll likely bring a combination of the following: **Essential***:* - Hands-on experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role, including data extraction, integration or automation projects - Strong SQL and Excel skills - Solid Power BI experience, including reconciling figures when different sources disagree - Hands-on use of a CRM (HubSpot or similar), and of AI tools to speed up analysis and build work - A root-cause mindset: you find the underlying cause rather than reporting the symptom, and you bring a proposed solution with it **Nice to Have:** - Experience with Databricks - Exposure to billing, revenue assurance or commission processes, ideally in a cloud, SaaS or usage-based business - Some experience with financial modelling or FP&A work - Time spent in a high-growth company where data processes were still being built **WHAT WE OFFER** - Competitive salary and annual discretionary bonus scheme - Employee wellbeing benefits - 25 days holiday, plus public holidays - Private Medical Insurance - Enhanced Pension Scheme - Flexible working arrangements (remote or hybrid, depending on role and location) - Real ownership and autonomy — the trust to take initiative and experiment - Visible, meaningful impact as we scale - Clear career progression in a high-growth company - A collaborative, international culture built on trust, transparency, and ownership - The chance to help shape NexGen Cloud's team, culture, and future **WHY APPLY** We welcome applications from all backgrounds. If you enjoy solving complex infrastructure problems and want to build something meaningful at scale, we'd like to hear from you. **MORE INFORMATION** Visit our [careers page](https://www.nexgencloud.com/careers) to learn more about us or follow us on [LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/company/nexgen-cloud) and [X](https://x.com/CloudNexgen) to learn more about our journey and keep up with our latest news and releases.
