You'll join the Risk Analytics team, working closely with [Vatsal Parekh](https://www.linkedin.com/in/parekhvatsal/) to deliver reliable data, reporting and tools that help Risk & Compliance teams respond to regulators, auditors and internal controllers — while exploring how AI can make that work smarter. Internship, ideal start **January 2027** **Planned duration:** 6 months **➡️ In this internship, you will:** - **Handle real stakeholder requests:** Deliver reliable SQL data extracts for regulatory reporting, audits and internal controls, owning daily "run" tickets with increasing autonomy. - **Build and improve dashboards:** Analyse data and create or enhance reporting dashboards and visualisations that Risk & Compliance teams actually use to steer activity and risk. - **Maintain and develop technical tools:** Apply and grow your SQL and/or Python skills to maintain and improve existing tools and code — you don't need to master both from day one. - **Grow into a bigger project:** Depending on your capabilities and team priorities, you may contribute to or take ownership of a longer-term technical project over the internship — scope to be confirmed with your manager. **➡️ What you can expect:** - **Visible impact:** Your data and tools directly support how Risk & Compliance teams respond to regulators, internal auditors and controllers. - **Close mentoring:** You'll be mentored by Vatsal Parekh and Omayma Nayma, with weekly 1:1 check-ins and day-to-day support. - **Room to grow:** Your scope can expand as you demonstrate capability — there's no fixed ceiling on what you can take on beyond the daily tickets. - **Modern, AI-native stack:** Unlimited access to AI tools like Claude Code to accelerate your work. - **Hybrid work in Paris:**2 days remote per week **➡️ About You:** - **Technical foundation:** You're ideally an M2 / final-year student (gap-year candidates welcome) in Computer Science, Software or Computer Engineering, from an engineering school or a technically strong university programme — international universities welcome, provided your school can issue a *convention de stage*. - **Practical skills:** Python and/or SQL write clean maintainable code and know how to structure a real project. - **Communication:** You are fluent in English and can clearly communicate your work with teammates and stakeholders. - **Experience:** A previous relevant data or engineering internship is a plus; so is experience with dashboards or maintaining existing tools. - **Curiosity:** You're interested in fintech and banking and willing to learn the compliance context. A dual technical/finance background is a bonus, not a must. **➡️ About your future Manager:** Your manager will be [Vatsal Parekh](https://www.linkedin.com/in/parekhvatsal/), Lead Risk & Compliance Engineering at Qonto. He'll give you day-to-day context on how Risk Analytics supports regulators, auditors and internal controllers, while giving you room to build practical experience and take on more responsibility as you go. - **His background?** Vatsal spent close to a decade at Société Générale as Senior Regulatory Risk Manager and Global Product Owner for the Counterparty Credit Risk platform, leading a team across the Americas, Europe and Asia with direct exposure to ECB and Fed regulatory frameworks. He then moved into risk and compliance consulting at Tremau, managing a team of 10 delivering engagements for global e-commerce and social media platforms, before joining Qonto in 2026. - **What he brings to the team?** A combination of hands-on regulatory risk expertise, consulting-grade delivery rigor, and deep technical fluency — 10+ years of SQL, hands-on use of AI-assisted workflows, and a track record of building data and reporting processes from scratch. He gives the team both technical grounding and a first-hand read on what regulators and auditors actually need. *At Qonto we understand that true diversity isn't just about ticking boxes on a hiring checklist. Apply regardless of the boxes you tick! Who knows? You may have the missing piece of the puzzle we've been searching for all along.* ### Perks **Flex your schedule.** Work from home up to 2 days a week with our hybrid policy. **Stay active.** Gympass gives you access to 3,000+ sports and wellness partners. **Eat well.** Lunch card, 50% on us. **Get around.** 50% of the cost of your public transportation pass is covered. **Enjoy the rest.** Team events, snacks, and beverages. **Take time off.** 1 paid day off per month, no questions asked. **Be yourself.** An inclusive, supportive environment where everyone belongs.
