Position Summary Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Data & Integration Engineer will design, build, and support the data and integration platforms critical to H-E Parts International’s global operations. This role is responsible for enabling reliable, scalable data solutions that support reporting, analytics, and key business processes across the organization. This position reports directly to the VP, Global Information Technology and plays an important role in advancing the company’s data strategy, including platform modernization, post-merger integration, and enterprise reporting capabilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical capability in data integration, Azure-based platforms, and Power BI, along with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement. The role requires both independent execution and close collaboration with global IT teams and business stakeholders. . ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Be a Safety Champion: Prioritize safety in all activities, following company policies and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment. Build and Maintain Data Integrations: Design, develop, and maintain data integrations across ERP systems, SaaS platforms, and custom applications. Ensure data flows are accurate, timely, and reliable. Support and Enhance Data Platform: Administer and improve the company’s Azure-based data environment, including Microsoft Fabric and enterprise data warehouse structures. Enable Reporting and Analytics: Develop and maintain data models and datasets that support Power BI dashboards and reporting. Ensure consistency and usability of data across business functions. Optimize Data Performance and Quality: Monitor data pipelines and resolve issues related to data accuracy, completeness, and performance. Implement improvements to increase reliability and scalability. Collaborate Across the Business: Work closely with Finance, Operations, Inventory, and other teams to understand data needs and deliver solutions aligned with business goals. Support Integration and Transformation Initiatives: Contribute to post-merger system and data integration efforts, including alignment of newly acquired business units. Create Documentation and Standards: Develop and maintain documentation for data pipelines, integrations, data models, and processes. Support data governance and best practices. Support the Enterprise: Respond to data-related issues, support requests, and incidents. Provide ongoing support for data and reporting environments. Be a Team Player: Collaborate with global IT teams, external partners, and vendors. Participate in project delivery, continuous improvement efforts, and after-hours support as needed. QUALIFICATIONS Experience: 3–6+ years of experience in data engineering, data integration, or a related role, with a track record of delivering reliable data solutions. Required Technical Skills: Strong experience with SQL and data modeling Experience with Microsoft Power BI and data visualization tools Hands-on experience with Azure data services and cloud-based data platforms Experience integrating data from ERP systems, SaaS platforms, and custom applications Preferred Technical Skills: Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar modern data platforms Familiarity with Python or other scripting or automation tools Understanding of data warehousing concepts and architecture Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, adaptable to various employee levels including the ability to interact effectively with executive and C-suite levels. Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business terms and work effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including leadership. Adaptability: Ability to work efficiently in a busy global environment, managing tight deadlines in multiple time zones with competing demands. Confidentiality: Demonstrate absolute discretion in handling confidential matters. Travel: Ability to travel, domestically and internationally, when required. Why Join Us?
