Job description
NextGen Federal Systems is seeking a Data Manager / Analyst to work with us supporting our DHS customer in Washington, DC. The Data Manager / Analyst supports the Tethered Aerostat Radar System (TARS) Program by managing, organizing, and analyzing program-related data to inform decisions and improve operational effectiveness. This role ensures data integrity, produces detailed reports and dashboards, and supports the development of performance metrics and data governance policies. ### Duties include but are not limited to: - Collect, clean, and maintain datasets to support program reporting and analytics. - Analyze operational, financial, and performance data to support decision-making. - Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and streamline reporting processes. - Ensure adherence to data quality, integrity, and security standards. - Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data management and reporting. - Support audits, evaluations, and ad hoc data requests. ### Required Education, Experience and Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, statistics, information systems or a closely related - discipline. - Significant information systems experience in lieu of degree. (2 years) - A minimum of 4 years of experience in the following: - Strong analytical and data interpretation skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and one or more data visualization tools. - Ability to manage multiple datasets and perform detailed analysis. - Familiarity with data governance and federal reporting requirements. - Excellent communication and organizational skills. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint. - Positive adjudication from a CBP Background Investigation. - Position requires some travel.
