**Company Overview:**Dialectic, a crypto-native organization of builders and capital advisors, is seeking a Data Science intern to join the team on a full-time basis. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic and fast-growing team, focused on investing in and building compelling software in emerging crypto and blockchain technologies. We produce outlier results through a series of diversified investment strategies in the decentralized finance ecosystem. **Job Summary:** We are offering a Data Science Internship for a person with strong skills who can perform deep quantitative analysis that informs capital deployment decisions and furthers our research into topics such as risk management, portfolio optimization, and market analysis. **Key Responsibilities:** - Sourcing, compiling, cleaning, and analyzing data across a range of markets. - Analyze existing datasets to identify trends and biases. - Demonstrating findings to the investment team and CIO through thoughtful data visualization. - Building out and maintaining datasets of consolidated information, especially with respect to opaque markets. - Tailor traditional portfolio optimization methods to a DeFi yielding book. - Participate in the discussions of the investment committee about capital allocation decisions. - Work closely with the Software team to automate data collection and analysis processes. **Key Requirements:** - Experience with machine learning & statistical analysis methods. - Strong Interest in the Cryptocurrency and especially DeFi space. - Background in finance or computer/data science with a deep understanding of financial markets. - Entrepreneurial mindset, be independent and be flexible. - Development skills in Python. - Skills in other languages, such as Rust and Solidity, would be considered a strong asset. - Knowledge of database software tools, quantitative analysis, and data visualization. - An understanding of the crypto markets and the web3 industry. - Ability to find and clean data with respect to opaque markets. - Advanced data visualization skills would be considered a strong asset. - Self-motivated, disciplined, and detail-oriented. **Benefits:**Dialectic offers an exceptional work culture: - Dynamic and collegiality in a small team working in fields that are shaping the future of our society - As a modern employer, we offer you contemporary working conditions, a lot of space to develop yourself alongside the company as well as exciting and challenging projects - Compelling compensation, bonus, and participation opportunities - Exposure to extremely talented people and very interesting clients who have unique investment profiles - Supportive work and team atmosphere with flat hierarchies and a strong entrepreneurial spirit. - Dialectic is an equal-opportunity employer with a strong diversity of ideas.
