Makpar has an exciting opportunity for a Data Scientist. The Data Scientist will support enterprise data and analytics initiatives for a federal client, leveraging expertise in **AI/ML development, advanced analytics, and automation** to deliver mission-focused, scalable, and secure solutions. The role involves providing **technical leadership**, developing **predictive and prescriptive models**, and collaborating with **cross-functional teams** to align analytics capabilities with enterprise objectives. Strong proficiency in **Python, SQL, modern AI/ML frameworks, and RPA tools** are required.
### Key Responsibilities:
- Provide **technical leadership** on analytics and AI/ML solutions.
- Develop and deploy **machine learning models and predictive analytics**.
- Use **Python, Anaconda, and Jupyter notebooks** for modeling and prototyping.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers to integrate models with **data pipelines**.
- Support **data governance** activities (tagging, metadata management, and secure sharing).
- Develop **RPA solutions** to automate business processes.
- Evaluate and recommend analytics products to ensure mission alignment.
- Communicate findings through dashboards, visualizations, and technical reports.
### Qualifications:
- **Active Secret clearance (mandatory requirement).**
- **Local Residency in Maryland, Virginia or Washington, DC.**
- Bachelor’s in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
- 4+ years of professional experience in **data science and AI/ML**.
- Strong expertise in **Python, Jupyter, and Anaconda**.
- Proficiency in **AI/ML frameworks** (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Experience with **RPA tools** (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Python-based).
- Familiarity with **Databricks, Apache Spark, and SQL**.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
### Clearance Requirement:
- **Active Secret clearance (mandatory requirement).**
