🔒 Requirement: HIPAA Certified 🏡 Work Setup: Permanent Work From Home ⏲️ Schedule: Full-Time | 40 hours/week 🕑 Hours: U.S. Business Hours About the Role We’re looking for an experienced Insurance Verification Specialist to join a growing U.S.-based healthcare practice. If you have hands-on experience verifying commercial insurance, completing detailed benefit breakdowns, and navigating payer portals, we’d love to hear from you. You will handle approximately 20 insurance verifications per day , ensuring accuracy, completeness, and HIPAA compliance. What You’ll Do Verify commercial insurance eligibility and benefits Contact U.S. insurance carriers via phone Navigate insurance payer portals Complete detailed benefit breakdowns (deductibles, copays, coinsurance, etc.) Confirm in-network and out-of-network coverage Identify prior authorization requirements Document verification notes accurately in EMR systems Prioritize verifications based on upcoming appointments Communicate coverage concerns with the healthcare team Maintain strict HIPAA & PHI compliance What we're looking for: 2+ years of U.S. healthcare or dental insurance verification experience Active HIPAA Certification (or completed HIPAA training) Strong knowledge of insurance benefits and terminology Experience with commercial insurance plans Comfortable making outbound calls to U.S. insurance carriers Experience using EMR/EHR and payer portals Excellent English communication skills Detail-oriented and able to manage high-volume workloads Must Haves Dental, oral surgery, or specialty healthcare experience WinOMS & Weave experience Insurance claims and follow-up experience Treatment plan or patient account support experience Nice to Have Open Dental, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Curve experience Please note: This job post does not guarantee immediate client onboarding.
