Design

Job description

### **Who We Are** We are an award-winning independent creative solutions company that aspires to be the most culturally-influential company in the world. We help ambitious brands harness the power of culture to solve their biggest challenges. As a unique mix of experts in culture, technology, and storytelling, we are united by a passion to grow brands in ways that advertising alone can never do. We are an entrepreneurial business — not a traditional "ad agency." That means we value resourcefulness and tenacity just as much as we value creativity and intelligence. We're unapologetically ambitious. We are looking for **Designers** to join Translation. ### **What Translation+ Is** Translation+ is our pre-vetted bench of elite freelance talent — the people we call on first when our core team is at capacity or a project demands a very specific skill set. This isn't a cold roster of names we found on a platform. This is a curated circle of trusted collaborators who we know, whose work we believe in, and who we treat as a true extension of our team. What being a part of Translation+ means: → You're first in line when opportunities open up — no cold pitching, no competing. → We already know your work — you get the brief and we get moving. → You're a true addition to our team, not a vendor we found in the 11th hour — making our work and our people better. ### **What You'll Do** Being a Designer at Translation means making ideas into visual realities. Our designers work across brand identity, campaign visuals, digital experiences, social content, and everything in between — translating strategy and creative direction into work that is visually distinct and culturally-fluent. This isn't production design; this is design with a perspective. Whether you specialize in motion, print, digital, or brand systems — or you move fluidly across all of it — we're looking for designers at every level. If you lead with taste, execute with precision, and understand that great design doesn't just look good, it tells a story, we want to know you. ### **How We Engage** We keep our process simple and intentional — because your time matters. Here's what to expect: **Step 1 — Screener Interview** A conversation with someone from our Talent team to get to know you, understand your background, and make sure we're aligned on what you're looking for. **Step 2 — Department Interview** A deeper conversation with a hiring manager in your area of expertise. This is where we really dig into your work, your experience, and how you operate. **Step 3 — The Decision** Once both conversations are done, we make our call. If it's a fit, we bring you onto the bench — and that means something. You're in. **Step 4 — Getting Set Up** If there’s an immediate need, we’ll have you complete the necessary paperwork right away to get you set up in our systems. If there isn’t, we’ll reach out when a project comes up and provide everything you need to get started at that time. This is a one-time process, and completing it upfront helps us move quickly when the right opportunity comes along. **Step 5 — We'll Be In Touch** From there, we’ll reach out when an opportunity aligned with your skills and experience becomes available. We’ll share the details, and if the timing, availability, and rate work for you, we’ll get to work! ### **On Rates** Rates vary based on the scope, duration, and complexity of each engagement, and are grounded in our full-time salary bands so you know we're coming to you seriously. We'll always be upfront about what we have — from there, it's yours to take if it makes sense for you. No pressure, no obligation. We just ask for a straight answer so we can keep things moving. ### ***About UnitedMasters, Inc.*** UnitedMasters Inc. represents the creative solutions company, Translation, and the leading software and services platform for independent creators, UnitedMasters.
