**Position Overview:** We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented **Design/Controls Engineer** with strong experience in **PLC programming** and **HMI/SCADA systems**. The ideal candidate will design, develop, program, and implement industrial automation and control systems to support manufacturing, process control, and operational efficiency. This role requires a hands-on engineer who can work from concept to commissioning, ensuring systems are reliable, safe, and optimized for performance. **This position offers two days remote per week.** ### Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and implement automation control systems, including hardware and software, to meet project requirements. - Program, test, and troubleshoot **PLC systems** (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent) for industrial applications. - Develop and configure **HMI and SCADA** interfaces for system monitoring, control, and reporting. - Create and maintain electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and wiring diagrams. - Perform system integration, testing, and commissioning both in-house and on-site. - Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to define system specifications and deliver solutions on time and within budget. - Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and best engineering practices. - Provide technical support, training, and documentation for installed systems. - Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
