Dialysis Technician

Job Summary: The Dialysis Technician is responsible for monitoring patients undergoing dialysis treatment, ensuring usage of the machine is safe and secure and adjusting patient fluid removal rates as required . Main Duties and Responsibilities: Obtains and records patient vital signs and machine readings Sets-up and tears down the dialysis blood system for the treatment process Inserts and removes access needles in patients for dialysis treatment Monitors and assesses patients during the course of treatment, documents changes in the patient’s condition, and informs charge nurse of problems during treatment Calculates patient’s weight loss to reach dry weight Maintains and tracks inventory Performs laboratory work Determines patient care priorities and organizes workload efficiently and effectively Maintains professional working relationships, observing patient privacy and rights Carrying out any other related duties as assigned Skills and Qualifications Accreditation from a dialysis technician program Suitable clinical experience Empathy and interpersonal skills for working with patients Detail-oriented and committed to ensuring patient confidentiality About the Company The vision of Oaktree Medical Center is to become a world-renowned medical facility known for high quality, holistic care, focused on family values in a safe, caring, customer service driven environment.
