About the role We are looking for a Director, Integrated Planning & S&OP to design, build, and run the analytical and operational "brain" of Bravo Ordnance. As we transition from rapid development into large-scale production, we need an operational architect who can connect customer demand signals, government program milestones, and internal testing requirements directly with our manufacturing capacity, long-lead procurement, and financial guardrails. This is a deliberately hybrid role: it absorbs the scope-control mandate of a standalone Product Manager so that a single, high-leverage leader owns both the engineering scope lock and the master production schedule. You will be the primary bridge between Sales, Engineering, and Operations — the "Engineer Whisperer" who safeguards the technical baseline, prevents feature creep, ensures that what we sell is what we build, and keeps technical teams focused on on-time delivery rather than endless redesigns. What success looks like in this role By day 90: You've architected and begun rolling out a formal, cross-functional New Product Introduction (NPI) framework connecting Sales, Engineering, and Operations, with clear stage-gate criteria to lock baselines before scaling. By day 120: You've mapped and documented end-to-end planning workflows — demand signals, long-lead procurement triggers, inventory stocking rules, and production scheduling — into a single operational playbook. By day 180: Partnering with internal Software Engineers as operational Product Owner, you've translated the new planning and scope-control workflows into our proprietary ERP, and the monthly S&OP governance cadence is running. What you'll do Design, implement, and lead the company-wide S&OP / IBP monthly governance process, aligning Sales, Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain with upfront financial guardrails Act as the operational buffer and scope-controller ("Engineer Whisperer") between Sales and Engineering — enforcing NPI stage-gates and preventing unauthorized feature creep or custom hardware variations that break supply chains, long-lead buys, or manufacturing flow Translate complex demand signals (defense contracts, commercial orders, internal engineering builds, range tests) into an actionable forecast and Master Production Schedule; convert demand into a realistic execution plan against supplier lead times and factory capacity Own company-wide inventory strategy — safety stock, raw materials, long-lead defense components, and finished goods — to maximize fulfillment while protecting working capital Track core planning KPIs (Forecast Accuracy, Schedule Attainment, Inventory Turns, Capacity Utilization, On-Time Delivery) and serve as functional Product Owner with Software Engineering to build and refine custom modules in our in-house ERP Qualifications Required 8–12+ years in demand planning, supply planning, or integrated business planning (IBP/S&OP) within high-tech hardware, aerospace, defense, or complex manufacturing Demonstrated "builder" mindset: proven track record standing up planning processes from scratch in a fast-paced environment, comfortable operating hands-on as an IC before scaling a team NPI and scope control: experience establishing stage-gate processes, managing engineering change orders (ECOs) and BOM freezes, and keeping engineering focused on baseline delivery Systems integration: experience mapping operational workflows directly into ERP/MRP software logic alongside software engineering teams Bachelor's in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance, or a quantitative field U.S. person; able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (ITAR-controlled environment) Preferred Defense program familiarity: comfortable with defense jargon, contractual flow-downs, and regulatory/certification milestones (DoD, ATF, First-Article Testing) APICS/CPIM/CSCP certification or an advanced degree Experience owning S&OP and inventory strategy through a production ramp / scale-up About Bravo Ordnance Where Unmanned Systems Become Weapons of Tomorrow Bravo Ordnance is an elite defense engineering company dedicated to redefining the most decisive - and often most underserved - element of modern warfare: the warhead.
