Director, Partner Technical Training & Enablement

Job description

About Us Automation Anywhere is the leader in Agentic Process Automation (APA), transforming how work gets done with AI-powered automation. Its APA system, built on the industry’s first Process Reasoning Engine (PRE) and specialized AI agents, combines process discovery, RPA, end-to-end orchestration, document processing, and analytics—all delivered with enterprise-grade security and governance. Guided by its vision to fuel the future of work, Automation Anywhere helps organizations worldwide boost productivity, accelerate growth, and unleash human potential. Role Overview Automation Anywhere is hiring a Director of Partner Enablement to lead and scale a global team of Partner Enablement Managers. This is a player-coach role — you will carry your own technical credibility into the field while building the team, processes, and frameworks that drive consistent partner success across all regions. This is not a purely administrative leadership role. The ideal candidate is as comfortable running a partner architecture workshop as they are in a team planning session. Shift Timing : EST Key Responsibilities Lead and Develop the Partner Enablement Team Hire, coach, and develop a global team of Partner Enablement Managers. Set clear performance expectations, run structured one-on-ones and deal reviews, and build a culture of technical excellence and accountability. Act as the escalation point for complex partner engagements and high-stakes implementations. Drive Global Partner Enablement Strategy Define and execute the global partner enablement roadmap in alignment with the Senior Director of Enablement and regional sales leadership. Establish consistent standards for how partners are onboarded, technically enabled, and measured across regions. Stay Hands-On in the Field Maintain direct involvement in strategic partner engagements — joining key customer conversations, leading executive-level workshops, and supporting your team on high-complexity deals. Model the behaviours and technical standards you expect from the team. Build Scalable Frameworks and Playbooks Develop repeatable enablement frameworks, delivery playbooks, and implementation guides that allow the team — and partners — to operate independently and at scale. Reduce reliance on ad hoc heroics. Partner Cross-Functionally Collaborate closely with Partner Account Managers, Product, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success to align enablement priorities with business goals. Represent the partner enablement function in regional and global planning cycles. Own the Metrics Define and track the KPIs that matter: partner-led pipeline, implementation success rates, time-to-value, and reduction in internal dependency. Report progress to senior leadership with clear insight into what's working and where gaps exist. Required Technical Expertise Web architecture and application servers Solution architecture and cloud fundamentals Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving Agentic AI, RAG, and AI evaluation frameworks What We're Looking For Experience : 16+ years in Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, or Partner Enablement, with at least 3–5 years in a people leadership role managing technical teams across multiple geographies. Technical Depth : Hands-on background in RPA, automation, AI, or enterprise workflows. Comfortable engaging at an architectural level — not just managing people who do. Familiarity with agentic AI and modern integration patterns is a strong plus. Leadership Style : A player-coach who earns credibility through technical competence, not just seniority. Strong at developing talent, giving direct feedback, and building team culture across time zones. Strategic Thinking : Able to translate business priorities into an enablement strategy, build the operational infrastructure to execute it, and communicate progress clearly to senior stakeholders. Partner Ecosystem: Experience working with GSIs, ISVs, or regional resellers. Understands the difference between enabling a partner and enabling a direct sales team — and builds accordingly. What Success Looks Like A high-performing, globally consistent Partner Enablement team that partners trust as their technical backbone. Partners onboard faster, implement independently, and win more — with measurable improvements in partner-led revenue and reduced escalation to internal teams. The Director is known as much for developing great people as for driving results.
