Director, Solutions Consulting

Job description

# **Take your career to new heights with Loopio! 🚀✨** Loopio is a workplace that unleashes learning & growth opportunities for our Loopers. We provide autonomous, challenging work that allows each employee to master their craft. We attract and retain people who are naturally curious, have grit and are eager to grow and build their careers. At Loopio, we genuinely support each other, because true success comes from working as #oneteam. We're looking for a **Director, Solutions Consulting** to lead and grow our presales function at Loopio. This role has a broader mandate than a typical presales leadership position: alongside the Solutions Consulting team, a response management function reports into this role, and you'll be accountable for how Loopio's proposal and RFP response process runs day to day, making sure our own platform, template library, and automation are put to their best use. You'll guide a team of Solutions Consultants while also rolling up your sleeves to support key enterprise opportunities. Your team will play a critical role in shaping how prospects experience Loopio, through discovery, tailored demos, and proof-of-concepts that highlight the value of our platform. In this role, you'll partner closely with Sales leadership to align presales strategy with company goals, establish scalable processes, and ensure the team is consistently driving revenue impact. You'll also serve as the bridge between Sales, Product, and Marketing, bringing back insights from the market to strengthen our positioning and influence the future of our solutions. This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership role where you'll have a direct impact on Loopio's growth, our win rates, and the careers of a team that sits at the heart of our sales process. *Note: This is an existing vacancy on the team* **What You’ll Be Doing:** - **Lead and develop the team:** Provide coaching, mentorship, and career development across both the Solutions Consulting team and the response management function, ensuring each consistently delivers high-quality work that aligns with Loopio's sales strategy. - **Elevate sales effectiveness:** Partner with Sales leadership to align presales strategy, messaging, and value delivery, ensuring our team supports AEs in winning complex deals. - **Drive operational excellence:** Establish scalable processes for discovery, demos, proof-of-concepts, and technical validation to ensure a consistent, repeatable experience for prospects across SMB, MM, and Enterprise segments. - **Own and modernize the response management process:** Take direct ownership of Loopio's proposal and RFP response process, prioritizing a modernized use of our own platform, template library, and automation from day one. - **Set standards and measure impact:** Define success metrics for the SC team (e.g., win rate impact, demo quality, sales cycle acceleration) and continuously monitor performance. - **Champion AI-first ways of working:** Pioneer practical, hands-on use of AI (including Claude) across the team, continuously finding smarter and more efficient ways of working, and modeling this firsthand rather than just encouraging it from a distance. - **Champion cross-functional collaboration:** Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure market feedback is shared, product positioning is tight, and prospects' technical requirements are addressed. - **Build integration expertise:** Develop strong technical fluency in our integration strategy, including our MCP launch, so you can guide the team's approach and help establish us as trusted experts in this space. - **Contribute to strategic deals:** While leading the team, you'll also roll up your sleeves to support needle-moving enterprise opportunities, modeling best-in-class planning and technical sales execution. - **Shape the product story:** Translate what Product is building into a clear, compelling narrative that resonates with customers and helps set Loopio apart in a crowded market. - **Stay ahead of the market:** Keep current on competitive trends, industry benchmarks, and best practices in presales to ensure Loopio's team remains differentiated. ## **What You’ll Bring To The Role:** - **3-5 years of leadership experience:** Proven ability to lead, coach, and inspire Solutions Consultants or presales professionals in a high-growth SaaS company. - **Presales excellence:** Strong background in technical sales, solutions consulting, or proposal management, with a track record of influencing enterprise-level deals. - **Hands-on customer engagement:** Comfortable getting directly on sales calls with customers, not just coaching from the sidelines. - **Process orientation:** Skilled at building repeatable processes, playbooks, and frameworks that help scale a presales function without sacrificing quality. - **Strategic mindset:** Ability to see both the details of an opportunity and the bigger picture of how presales can drive revenue growth. - **Executive presence:** Comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders at Fortune 1000 companies, building trust and credibility in complex sales cycles. - **Collaboration and influence:** Adept at partnering across functions (Sales, Product, Marketing, CS) and influencing without direct authority. - **AI fluency:** Practical, expert-level experience using AI tools to drive efficiency, with a track record of pioneering adoption within a team, not just following it. - **Growth orientation:** Committed to developing talent, embracing new technology, and raising the bar for presales excellence. - **Technical/integration acumen:** Experience with, or a strong aptitude for, integration-related sales motions such as MCP, with enough depth to guide others on it. - **Familiarity with Loopio (nice to have):** Prior hands-on experience using Loopio as a practitioner. ## **Where You’ll Work** - ***We are currently only looking for candidates who reside in the Greater Toronto Area and can access our co-working space in Downtown Toronto for the occasional sales team get-together.*** - Loopio is a remote-first workplace because we recognize the advantages of working flexibly. Read this** ‼️ Hi there, we recognize that all too often, potential candidates don’t apply for a position simply because they don’t hit every single criteria included in the job description—particularly members of underrepresented groups. Whether or not your experience ✅ checks off all the boxes on a job posting, we still encourage you to apply to ensure that your application receives a review from our team. We understand that a resume can only showcase so much during the applicant stage, so we've created prompts in the application for you to share more about yourself. If you've made a career transition (or a few!), you’re self taught in a new role, or you have skills/experience you’d like to highlight, we want to hear more about what you could bring to the table. **AI in Recruitment 👩🏻‍💻** At Loopio, we leverage artificial intelligence (AI) technology to enhance our recruitment process. These tools assist with tasks such as resume screening, drafting preliminary job descriptions, generating initial interview questions, transcription and occasionally sourcing prospective candidates. However, AI is never used to make final hiring decisions; our use of AI serves to support repetitive and administrative tasks in order to streamline our hiring and recruitment workflows. We are committed to the responsible use of AI in our hiring practices, prioritizing both an improved candidate experience and operational efficiency. Our standardized hiring practices remain focused on reducing biases, with all key hiring decisions solely made by our team. We continuously review and refine our hiring practices to align with industry best practices and evolving legal guidelines **AI Usage in Interviews** 🤖 The Loopio interview process is designed to help us better understand your professional experiences, as well as your unique perspective and approach to delivery and collaboration. To ensure a fair and accurate assessment, we expect candidates to refrain from using AI-generated content to produce responses to our interview questions during the live interview, as our goal is to evaluate your own knowledge and problem-solving abilities - not those of an AI assistant. If AI-generated responses are identified during the interview, Loopio reserves the right to disqualify candidates from the interview process. For specific roles that include a take-home assignment, our AI Interviewee Policy allows the use of AI for initial support; however, the final submission must be a true reflection of your personal insights, skills and decision-making. *Loopio is an equal opportunity employer that is deeply committed to building equitable workplaces that are diverse and inclusive.
