You'll work closely with customers, drayage carriers, vendors, ports and rail yards, and internal teams to provide reliable transportation solutions, negotiate competitive rates, solve problems in real time, and ensure customer deadlines are met. Every customer conversation, every shipment you manage, every rate you negotiate, and every problem you solve is an opportunity to build relationships, grow your book of business, and increase your earnings. **Responsibilities include:** **Drayage Sales & Capacity Procurement** - Negotiate competitive drayage rates with customers and vendor partners. - Source and secure transportation capacity to ensure customer import and export containers move efficiently between ports, rail yards, and customer facilities. - Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, and vendors. - Provide creative solutions to port, rail, and container transportation challenges in time-sensitive, high-pressure situations. - Balance competitive pricing with customer service and operational expectations. - Identify opportunities to improve transportation solutions and grow customer relationships. **Customer Service and Relationship Management** - Maintain consistent communication with customers to understand their needs and meet service expectations. - Build relationships quickly with customers, carriers, vendors, and teammates. - Provide clear, timely updates throughout the shipment lifecycle from container availability through pickup and delivery. - Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are executed successfully. - Become a trusted logistics partner by delivering solutions, not excuses. **Transportation Management** - Monitor import/export shipments throughout transit to help ensure on-time pickup and delivery. - Assist in moving freight and resolving issues that arise throughout the transportation process. - Track container shipment details and maintain strong data integrity across internal systems. - Coordinate with multiple teams and partners to keep freight moving efficiently. - Quickly identify and resolve service issues while maintaining a high level of customer communication. We offer a competitive base salary during training, followed by the opportunity to participate in incentive plans once training is successfully completed. **Who We're Looking For: Honest. Adaptable. Committed.** At ITS, how you work matters as much as what you accomplish. We're looking for people with this in their DNA: **HONEST — Being direct and transparent in every situation because you care** - You build trust and move fast by being straightforward — with customers, carriers, vendors, and teammates alike. - You care about the whole person, not just the transaction — human connection matters here. - You're honest with yourself about where your career and life are going, and you're willing to speak up about what you want. - You speak up in every situation because the best idea wins — regardless of whose idea it is. - You give and receive feedback freely in every direction — up, down, and sideways — and you act on it quickly to make real, immediate improvements. **ADAPTABLE — Turning adversity into opportunity and thriving in change** - You understand that change and adversity are constant, and you show up ready with solutions, not excuses. - You stay composed when plans change and quickly shift your approach to keep freight and customers moving. - You trust the process and the organization's intent, even when a short-term decision feels uncomfortable, because you're playing the long game. - You don't wait for someone else to solve the problem — you find a way, with urgency. **COMMITTED — Being all-in for yourself, your teammates, our clients, and winning every day** - You bring 100% focus to your thoughts and actions — at work and in life. - You know that attitude and work ethic are true differentiators, and you control what's in your control every day. - You multitask effectively and bring an extreme sense of urgency and desire to win to every situation, no matter how small. - You invest in the relationships, habits, and routines that put you in a position to win — professionally and personally. - You thrive in a competitive team environment and want to be surrounded by people who challenge you to get better. If this sounds like you, you already have what it takes to thrive — and earn — at ITS. **About the Requirements** **Experience** - 0–8 years of professional experience preferred (entry-level position — we invest in your growth from day one). - Experience in a fast-paced, competitive environment is strongly preferred. - Proven ability to demonstrate a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to achieving results. - Previous experience in sales, customer service, logistics, transportation, or customer management is a plus. - Comfortable working in an environment that requires multitasking, urgency, and constant communication. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Products (specifically Excel) **Education** - College degree preferred. - Relevant experience in sales, supply chain, logistics, transportation, customer service, or a related field is valued. **Skills, Abilities & Ideal Candidate Profile** - Ability to build relationships quickly with different personalities. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities. - Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities. - Highly energetic, competitive, and positive attitude. - Ability to remain calm and solution-oriented in challenging situations. - Ability to accept constructive feedback and make long-term changes quickly. - Strong sense of urgency and accountability. - Growth mindset — hungry to earn, learn, compete, and advance quickly. - Comfortable working onsite in a collaborative, competitive team environment.
