Review and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, including tax withholdings, benefits deductions, and wage garnishments. Prepare and file payroll taxes and related filings, including federal, state, and local tax payments, and year-end forms. Generate detailed payroll reports, track hours, overtime, and PTO usage, and resolve discrepancies or issues related to employee pay. Assist with audits and ensure accurate documentation for internal and external audits. Provide support to employees regarding payroll questions, deductions, and issues. Monitor changes in payroll regulations and best practices, ensuring the company remains compliant with all applicable laws. Collaborate with the HR and finance departments to ensure smooth integration of payroll and benefits.
