Job description
Coordinate and support scheduled waste collections across site, working closely with contractors and internal departments Carry out internal waste audits, weekly waste ticket reviews and waste sampling, helping to drive continuous improvement in waste segregation and minimisation Support environmental monitoring activities, including borehole dip readings, quarterly residue sampling Assist with the weekly environmental audit checker and support wider EHS audits and site inspections Help prepare monthly KPI reports and maintain accurate environmental records Support the investigation and response to noise, odour and dust complaints from the public and regulators Provide general administrative support to the EHS team, along with other ad-hoc duties as required Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related technical/scientific discipline (candidates from other disciplines with a genuine interest in environmental compliance and waste management will also be considered) No prior work experience required - full training will be provided Competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Well organised, with strong attention to detail Good communication skills, comfortable liaising with contractors, regulators and members of the public A full UK driving licence is beneficial What we offer: Competitive graduate salary Structured on-the-job training and development within a global business The opportunity to build a career in environmental, health & safety or sustainability within the wood panel manufacturing industry A supportive team environment at our Chirk site To apply, please submit your CV and a short covering letter outlining your interest in the role. #LI-AM2 Kronospan is a world-leading producer of wood-based panel products - including particleboard, MDF, OSB and laminate flooring - supplying materials used across furniture, flooring, construction and timber-framed buildings worldwide. This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate to gain hands-on experience across waste management, environmental compliance and site auditing within a fast-paced, global manufacturing business. The role will focus mainly on supporting waste collections and administration, alongside wider EHS duties.
