Electrical Design Coordinator

Job description

1- KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Coordinate directly with Stakeholders through the entire design process. Manage design reviews, technical workshops, value engineering sessions, and interdisciplinary coordination meetings. Be the interface point between client and remote design team. Coordinate design changes, technical clarifications, and document revisions throughout the project lifecycle. Experienced in electrical calculations, equipment sizing, single-line diagrams, protection philosophies, cable routing and grounding design. Knowledge of electrical design throughout all project phases, from technical assessment and concept design through detailed design and IFC documentation. Monitor design schedules, deliverables, and engineering progress. Coordinate rehabilitation strategies for existing MV/LV electrical infrastructure, including substations, switchgear, transformers, RMUs, cables, protection systems, and associated equipment. Coordinate for asset condition assessment and site survey information to determine rehabilitation requirements and design constraints. Review and coordinate interfaces between electrical, civil, structural, mechanical, instrumentation & control, telecommunications, and architectural disciplines. Review technical specifications, equipment datasheets, Bills of Quantities (BoQs), and cost estimates. 2- QUALIFICATION At least 10 years of experience in LV/MV Network design for critical infrastructures such as Airports, Power Plants, Wastewater Treatment Plants, etc. Experience in LV and MV Network rehabilitation projects. Experience in projects in GCC, mainly in UAE and KSA. Experience in Brownfield Electrical projects. Experience working within engineering consultancies is mandatory. Knowledge of IEC and IEEE Standards as well as SEC (Saudi Electrical Company) standards Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus Professional grade in Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE)
