Electrical Engineer - Design Office

Job description

The Electrical Engineer will support the delivery of electrical building services design for a variety of projects, including mixed-use, hospitality, residential, commercial, healthcare, and infrastructure developments. The role involves preparing calculations, design drawings, technical reports, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs in accordance with project requirements, applicable codes, and company standards. Key Responsibilities Assist in the design and development of electrical systems from concept through detailed design. Prepare electrical calculations including load schedules, voltage drop, short circuit, lighting, and cable sizing calculations. Develop power, lighting, emergency power, earthing, lightning protection, and low-current system designs. Coordinate designs with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, AV/IT, and security disciplines. Prepare and update drawings using Revit and AutoCAD. Participate in BIM coordination and clash resolution workshops. Ensure compliance with project requirements, Saudi codes, international standards, and client specifications. Support preparation of technical reports, design narratives, BOQs, and specifications. Attend internal coordination meetings and contribute to design reviews. Conduct site visits and assist with technical reviews, RFIs, and construction support activities when required. Follow QA/QC procedures and maintain project documentation. Education Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Experience 2-6 years of experience in electrical building services design. Experience in consulting engineering environment preferred. GCC/Middle East project experience is an advantage. Technical Skills Good understanding of electrical building systems: Power Distribution Lighting Systems Emergency Power Systems Earthing & Lightning Protection Fire Alarm Systems Proficient in: Revit MEP AutoCAD ETAP or equivalent power analysis software Dialux / Relux Microsoft Office Knowledge Familiarity with IEC, NFPA, SBC, SEC requirements, and international electrical standards. Understanding of BIM workflows and multidisciplinary project delivery.
