CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt W-2, Hourly – Full-Time WORK SCHEDULE: This schedule reflects 10 hours per day, totaling 40 hours per week, Tuesday and Friday, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM. Scheduling needs may vary based on business demands, and adjustments may be required as reasonably assigned. COMPENSATION RANGE: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour commensurate on experience, education and credentials. ANTICIPATED TRAVEL : 50% of the time. You will use a company vehicle. There is no additional compensation for travel. SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES We are seeking a reliable, experienced Electrician to support a wide range of residential and commercial electrical projects, repairs, and maintenance needs across properties in the Baltimore area. The ideal candidate is a licensed professional who can work independently, troubleshoot effectively, and complete projects safely and efficiently. This is a full-time position. Work may include routine maintenance, installations, inspections, emergency repairs, and renovation support. SCHEDULED DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Perform electrical installations, upgrades, and repairs for residential and commercial properties Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues, including short circuits, faulty wiring, or malfunctioning fixtures Install and maintain lighting, outlets, switches, panels, circuit breakers, and electrical systems Conduct inspections and ensure work complies with local, state, and NEC electrical codes Respond to service calls, emergency repairs, and general maintenance requests as scheduled Collaborate with property management and maintenance teams as needed Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time on task UNSCHEDULED DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Assist supervisor with work related requests. Responsible for following regulations of COMAR, CARF, any other regulatory body, and company policies/ procedures related to service delivery and documentation and co-facilitating orientation of all new hires to these as well. Support the maintenance of a safe environment by participating in training and drills as requested. Maintain confidentiality of records relating to client’s treatment. Participate in external and internal audits/surveys (CARF/CSA/OHCQ) as directed by the supervisor. Participates in quality assurance and performance improvement plans by completing periodic audits or other activities to ensure regulatory compliance and/or improve service delivery. PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Regularly walk, stand or stoop; occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 100 pounds; and regularly drive a motor vehicle. WORKING CONDITIONS Work is performed indoors and outdoors, in various weather conditions. May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Exposure to potentially hazardous materials, heights, and tight spaces. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in certain situations. COMPETENCY AND SKILLS Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar maintenance role. Proficiency in a variety of trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and painting. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills. LEVEL OF EDUCATION / TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in residential and/or commercial electrical work Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Familiarity with local and national electrical codes Own tools and reliable transportation Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Must carry or be willing to obtain general liability insurance (if 1099) Experience in property management or multifamily housing maintenance Ability to estimate project costs and materials Comfortable working in occupied units or tenant environments Education High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification is a plus. REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSE Valid Maryland journeyman or master electrician license Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
