Email Marketing Manager

**About Juno** Juno leverages collective bargaining power to secure better student loan rates for students. With 290,000+ members and over $2B in negotiated loan volume, we've proven that group buying works. We are the most popular way to pay for the world's top graduate programs, and we're looking for someone to own the emails and texts that reach our members at the moments that decide whether they borrow with us. **The Problem:** Federal lending reforms have created a significant market shift. In July 2026, new caps on federal graduate loans, including the elimination of Grad PLUS for new students, came into effect, leaving millions of students with significant funding gaps. Students need transparent, competitive private options, exactly what Juno provides. **Your mission:** We're seeking an Email Marketing Manager to own our member communications, email and SMS, across all our products and business lines. Juno sends at high volume to a member base of 290,000+, and the gap between a good send and a great one is measured in funded loans. You'll be the person who turns what we know about our members into the right message, to the right segment, at the right moment in their borrowing cycle, and who can prove what it did. This role is based in our Miami office, and you'll train in person with our team during your first few months. **What you’ll do:** - **Own email and SMS end to end:** Build, QA, and ship campaigns and automated flows in across grad, undergrad, and refi. - **Run the campaign calendar:** Translate the goals of grad leaders and senior team members into a calendar of shipped sends, and keep it moving every week. - **Learn the Juno product and data model deeply:** - Understand how a member moves from signup to rate offer to application to funded loan - Know what we hold on every member, where it lives, and what it can and can't tell you - Use that structure to build segmentation and personalization that hold up at scale - **Build segments that are actually right:** Define who receives what by vertical, school, application stage, loan status, and timing. A mis-scoped audience is the most expensive mistake in this role. - **Personalize at scale:** Use member data and Liquid to tailor content, and help improve our personalization workflows over time. - **Own measurement:** Report on what each campaign did. Opens and clicks, but mostly applications started, applications completed, and loans funded. Bring the read to the team before anyone asks for it. - **Run the test roadmap:** Propose and run experiments on subject lines, timing, sequencing, and offers, and keep a record so we stop re-learning the same lessons. - **Keep the program clean and compliant:** Route messaging through compliance review, maintain suppression and deliverability hygiene, and keep the account organized enough that someone else could pick up your work. - **Use AI as a multiplier:** Draft, QA, and debug with AI tools: segment logic, Liquid, SQL, copy variants, and post-send analysis. We expect the work to move faster because of them, and we expect you to catch it when the output is wrong. **What We Offer** **Compensation**: Base salary range of $80,000 to $100,000, depending on experience, plus an annual performance bonus. **Benefits**: Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage, plus 401(k) matching. **What We’re Looking For** - **Background**: Typically 1 to 4 years of hands-on email marketing, CRM, or marketing operations experience. - You've built and sent campaigns yourself in an ESP (, Klaviyo, Braze, Iterable, HubSpot, Mailchimp). is a plus; we'll teach you our setup. - Open to an email marketer who wants to go deeper on data, or an ops person who wants to own a channel - **You like email:** You think email and SMS are among the highest-leverage channels a company has, and you want to get better at them. - **Clear writing:** You can write a short, clear email or text that gets someone to take one action. - **Comfortable with data:** You can read a funnel, reason about a segment, and tell a real result from noise. You don't need SQL on day one, but you should want to learn it. - **AI fluency:** You already use AI in your daily work and can walk us through exactly how. We care less about which tools you use than whether you've actually changed the way you work, and whether you know where they fall down. - **Precision:** The work is high-volume and unforgiving of small errors, because a wrong merge field or a mis-scoped audience reaches thousands of people at once. You check your work, and you build processes so the checking isn't the only thing standing between us and a mistake. - **Reliability:** You do what you said you would, when you said you would. The team will trust you to run this program without hand-holding. - **Execution over ideation:** You'll ship a lot. You'd rather run the calendar well than spend the week debating it. - **Curiosity about the product:** You want to understand how student lending actually works (federal versus private, what drives a rate, cosigners, deferral, and refinancing), because you can't segment well on a product you don't understand. - **Comfort with seasonality:** Our year has a peak. You plan for it months ahead and go all-in when it lands. - **Location:** Based in Miami or willing to relocate, and authorized to work in the US. **The X-Factor** - **You're precise:** You catch the broken link before it goes to 40,000 people - **You're curious about the data:** When something works, your first instinct is to ask why - **You close the loop:** A campaign isn't done until you've reported what it did - **You think in systems:** You'd rather build the process once than do the thing by hand ten times **Why Join Juno?** **The Opportunity** Real Impact: Help hundreds of thousands of students get access to the lowest rates on the market. Market Timing: Federal aid changes create massive tailwind for growth. Proven Model: $2B+ negotiated and 290K+ members. Product-market fit achieved.
