Engagement Coordinator (Community Engagement)

**We are looking for an approachable, confident and enthusiastic person who enjoys meeting people, making connections and bringing communities together to help end homelessness in Cornwall.** This is a varied, people-focused role, building connections with community groups, schools, clubs, local businesses, volunteers and individuals who want to support St Petrocs. You will help people understand homelessness and the work of St Petrocs, and create opportunities for them to get involved – whether through volunteering, fundraising, events, challenges or community activities. A key responsibility will be developing and growing community fundraising, helping supporters turn their enthusiasm, skills and connections into valuable support for St Petrocs. You will also create opportunities for people experiencing homelessness to connect with our supporters and local communities, helping to build positive experiences, understanding and a stronger sense of community. Working across Cornwall and alongside colleagues throughout St Petrocs, you will support community fundraising, volunteers and community-led projects to make a meaningful impact. You will lead St Petrocs’ community engagement, ensuring opportunities are well organised, enjoyable and purposeful. **What you will get from the role** This role offers the opportunity to connect with people from a wide range of communities across Cornwall, while gaining valuable experience across different areas of Engagement. As part of a supportive Engagement team, you will develop your skills in community engagement, volunteering, fundraising, events and partnerships, while bringing your own ideas and contributing to projects. It is a role where you can build confidence, broaden your experience and take on new challenges, while seeing the difference your work makes to St Petrocs and the people we support. ***Interviews are expected to take place on Tuesday 6th October.***Many of our staff work flexibly, including part-time. Some evening and weekend work is required with this role due to the nature of engaging with communities, attending events and supporting volunteers and fundraisers.
