Job Description: Department Overview EC Marketplace Development Department (ECMPD) is a tech division under Rakuten Commerce & Marketing Company of Rakuten Group, Inc. We are responsible for developing and enhancing our online system to support our core business, Rakuten Ichiba. Rakuten Ichiba is one of the largest internet shopping malls in Japan with 5.6 trillion sales in 2022 and our business is growing year on year. We aim to provide the best shopping entertainment for our shoppers and empower our partners in Rakuten Ichiba. This requires a stronger team and higher engineering skills, and we need more experienced Engineer to work with us as part of our development team. Position Details - Lead system software development team as a Senior Engineer for development/operational product of navigation services in Rakuten Ichiba - Project planning (Create milestone, system delivery and development budget) - Project management (Progress management, Reporting and Issue management) - Communication with stakeholders (Negotiation with other teams, and scheduling) - QA management (Arrangement with QA team, Define QA scope, Scheduling) Mandatory Qualifications: - Experience in managing organization involved in system software development - People management experience: leadership of multicultural teams with 5+ members - Strong sense of ownership and accountability: particularly during production issue management - Excellent problem solving and communication skill - Experience of analyzing issues and solution proposal - Excellent documentation skill - English communication skill Desired Qualifications: - Extensive experience in building and operating high-traffic, critical platforms - Good understanding of both business and technology to make proper decisions - Experience of budget/cost management - Experience of JIRA, Confluence, etc. Other Information: Additional information on English Qualification TOEIC Score 800 above or possess equivalent abilities #engineer #applicationsengineer #commerce #RakutenIchiba Languages: English (Overall - 4 - Fluent), Japanese (Overall - 2 - Intermediate)
