The Engineering and Architecture Lead is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-quality web applications and internal tools. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to architect, build, and continuously improve robust, scalable, and secure systems. The ideal candidate demonstrates expertise in modern development frameworks and tools, and brings a proactive approach to enhancing system performance, availability, and scalability. Your work will directly improve the efficiency and security of data access workflows within Redhorse, impacting multiple clients and projects. ### Key Responsibilities - Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, conduct user research, and translate insights into innovative design solutions. - Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, support, product, data teams) to understand user pain points and translate them into intuitive software solutions. - Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices and coding standards. - Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and team planning sessions. - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in production and development environments. - Continuously improve system performance, scalability, and security. - Integrate with internal and third-party systems. - Design, develop, and maintain tools and systems that improve operational efficiency, internal workflows, and customer-facing functions. ### Required Experience/Clearance - Active Top Secret clearance with SCI FS Polygraph - Bachelor’s Degree in Cloud Computing, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or Cybersecurity. - Ten (10)+ years of architecture and engineering experience in the IC. - Demonstrated six (6)+ years of experience in architecting and engineering classified IC systems. - Certified in AWS or equivalent cloud technology. - Three (3)+ years of experience using C2C or C2E to deliver technical solutions. ### Desired Experience - Master’s degree in any of the above disciplines. - Experience designing and documenting information systems in DoDAF architecture models and views. - Experience with data visualization, aggregation, and reporting tool such as iPowerBI, Tableau. - Experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle) and NoSQL data solutions, SQL, and other query languages. - Experience with AI/ML. - 10+ years working in the IC.
