Turn priorities into results. Partner with Product, Design, and QA to scope and sequence the roadmap, including new renewals and landlord payment capabilities. Align commitments with capacity and identify risks and dependencies early. Own operational reliability. Maintain effective monitoring, runbooks, and follow-the-sun on-call coverage for critical landlord workflows. Lead technical response during major incidents and ensure root causes are addressed. Lead across team boundaries. Coordinate changes to shared applications and services with peer engineering teams. Keep partners and engineering leadership informed of delivery risks, technical tradeoffs, and team health concerns. Requirements 5+ years of software engineering experience, including experience leading a team as a Tech Lead, Tech Lead Manager, or Engineering Manager. A strong prior track record as a senior/staff-level fullstack engineer. Strong technical judgment and the ability to evaluate designs, review code, implement solutions, and troubleshoot production systems, with hands-on experience in fullstack development (TypeScript, React, Node.js, NestJS, and Go preferred). Fluency in API design, data modeling, performance, security, and reliability: schema and API design (REST/GraphQL), PostgreSQL and Redis performance and scaling, and the operational characteristics of production services other teams and customers depend on.
