Job Objective Group Technology enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group Technology, we digitalise majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels. We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on technology leader to drive the next generation of digital banking capabilities across customer onboarding, relationship management, workflow automation, data intelligence and Agentic AI platforms. The role requires a leader who is equally comfortable engaging senior business stakeholders, defining technology architecture, managing engineering delivery, and coaching high-performing teams. Principal Responsibilities Technology Leadership Lead the architecture, design and delivery of strategic digital banking platforms supporting customer acquisition, account opening, servicing, workflow automation and relationship management. Define and execute technology roadmaps covering Generative AI, Agentic AI, advanced analytics, big data and intelligent automation capabilities. Drive modern engineering practices, platform modernization and cloud-native architecture adoption. Establish technical standards, governance frameworks and engineering best practices across the portfolio. AI, Data & Analytics Lead the design and implementation of GenAI and Agentic AI solutions to improve customer experience, operational efficiency and employee productivity. Drive adoption of enterprise AI platforms, knowledge management solutions, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agent orchestration frameworks and conversational AI capabilities. Build and scale data-driven capabilities leveraging big data platforms, advanced analytics, machine learning and decision intelligence. Partner with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize high-impact AI and analytics use cases. Delivery & Engineering Management Lead multiple engineering squads across distributed locations and functions. Manage engineering leads, developers, data engineers and platform specialists. Own delivery outcomes including scope, quality, stability, security, scalability and operational performance. Drive Agile and DevSecOps practices, ensuring timely and predictable delivery of strategic initiatives. Business & Stakeholder Engagement Partner closely with business, operations, product, architecture, risk and compliance teams. Translate complex business requirements into scalable and maintainable technology solutions. Communicate effectively with senior management, steering committees and executive stakeholders. Manage delivery in a matrix organisation involving multiple departments, countries and vendor partners. People Leadership Recruit, develop and retain high-performing technology talent. Provide coaching, mentorship and career development for engineering managers and technical specialists. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. Education and Relevant Experience Experience Minimum 10 years of relevant technology experience, with significant experience in banking or financial services. Proven experience managing engineering teams and delivering large-scale enterprise platforms. Demonstrated experience operating in multinational organisations with matrix reporting structures. Track record of delivering mission-critical customer-facing platforms and digital transformation programmes. Exposure to commercial, corporate, SME, wealth management or transaction banking platforms. Experience evaluating and implementing emerging technology solutions. Strong understanding of risk, security, data governance and regulatory requirements in financial institutions. Experience leading AI transformation programmes within banking. Demonstrated ability to influence technology strategy at senior leadership level. Passion for innovation, continuous learning and talent development. Domain Expertise Strong experience in one or more of the following areas: Generative AI and Agentic AI Data Analytics and Business Intelligence Big Data Platforms and Data Engineering Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Digital Customer Onboarding Account Opening Platforms Workflow and Business Process Management Systems Customer Service and Case Management Platforms Technical Capability Deep knowledge and practical experience in: Enterprise architecture and solution design Distributed systems and microservices APIs and event-driven architectures Cloud platforms and container technologies Data platforms, data lakes and analytics ecosystems AI/ML platforms and GenAI deployments System integration and enterprise workflow orchestration Software engineering lifecycle, DevSecOps and CI/CD practices Leadership & Communication Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills. Ability to lead through complexity in a matrix environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience working with teams across multiple geographies and cultures. Professional working proficiency in English and Mandarin, with the ability to engage effectively with regional stakeholders, business partners and technology teams. Education Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
