Enterprise Sales - Index Sales Relationship Manager (ETF & Investment Managers) – Greater China Bloomberg offers a diverse range of fixed income, commodity, currency, and equity indices. We offer an array of services to clients interested in custom index development, investable index products designed to offer access to systematic strategies, index administration and calculation agent services. Bloomberg indices are driven by the same trusted reference data, pricing and analytical calculations that are leveraged throughout the investment process. What’s the role? Index Sales Specialists at Bloomberg are responsible for new business development in addition to maintaining existing client relationships for Bloomberg Index solutions. As the Greater China Index Sales Specialist for ETF and Investment Managers, you will be responsible for positioning, demonstrating and licensing Bloomberg’s fixed income, equity, and multi-asset class index solutions to prospective customers in addition to existing Investment Managers across financial institutions in the territory, including working closely with the regional sales team to seek wider adoption and increased penetration of Bloomberg Indices in this client segment across Asia Pacific. This is a highly visible role within the organization with involvement in shaping strategy, senior level relationship management and in-depth discussions regarding Bloomberg index methodology and product development. You will be responsible for all aspects of Indices related engagements, including data subscriptions, customization, and asset-based licensing. The role requires close collaboration, and strong communication with global sales, client services and support teams, research, marketing, product management to deliver optimal solutions to our customers in the region. You will be joining a highly experienced, motivated and fast-growing Index Relationship Management team across Asia Pacific that sits within Global Financial Product Sales. The position is based in Hong Kong, with coverage of Hong Kong and mainland China Based ETF issuers, Local and international asset managers. We’ll trust you to: Build senior level relationships with many of the top institutional investment firms Achieve annual sales and revenue targets across the index solutions product suite Utilize your market experience, knowledge of industry trends, and technical skillset throughout the sales process from developing awareness to commercial and contract execution Conduct in-depth discussions regarding Bloomberg index methodology and new product requirements Produce clear, concise proposals with an appropriate level of detail that identifies client needs, current workflows, proposed solutions, and commercials Take a lead role in conducting internal and external training sessions and sales pitches Collaborate extensively with different internal teams to cross-sell our suite of solutions Occasional travel to meet with clients and prospects in China You’ll need to have: Minimum 5 years of client facing experience in Financial Institutions such as Investment Managers, Data Providers, Exchange ideally with Index solutions exposure. Experience leading senior-level client conversations in an established network in the Hong Kong Investment community gained within the last 5 years A passion for advocating ETF and indexing solutions across all segments of the investment community. Deep understanding of the Hong Kong ETF industry, including ETF Connect, market structure, regulatory environment, issuer positioning, and ETF product developments across asset classes. An astute commercial mind-set, working to exceed sales metrics and demonstrable ability to build pipelines and close new business opportunities. Excellent communication skills to be able to credibly lead senior level client conversations Fluency in Mandarin and English required, Cantonese an advantage Bachelor’s degree or degree-equivalent qualifications, CFA/FRM/CAIA designation is an advantage We’d love to see: In-depth Fixed income and/or Equity index knowledge If this sounds like you: Apply if you think we're a good match.
