Entrepreneurial AI Research Engineer

Join a small, fast-moving team where you’ll research, prototype, and ship quickly. We’re training foundational models for financial applications on unique, multimodal datasets and need engineering input at every step of the process. **What you’ll do** -Design, build, and maintain data pipelines for unique and multimodal datasets. -Train and evaluate frontier-scale models; own the loop from idea to prototype to production. -Work shoulder-to-shoulder with researchers to discover new methods. **You might be a fit if you** -Are a self-starter who thrives on coding autonomy and project collaboration. -Have deep ML chops (PyTorch/JAX), strong engineering fundamentals, and a record of shipping research to production. -Prefer clear principles, low ego and prefer collaboration over titles and politics. **Helpful backgrounds (any of the following)** -Frontier labs experience (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI, DeepMind); or -Novel discovery through published work (NeurIPS/ICML/ICLR); or -Founded or led an AI/research company; or -Standout independent achievement (leading major open-source, top-tier role, etc.). **What we offer** -A well-funded trading firm expanding into AI research and discovery - bring your best ideas and be rewarded for them. -Real ownership and influence on roadmap, direction and products. -Competitive base compensation with significant upside tied to results. -A culture optimized for deep work, fast learning, and doing the right thing. **If this sounds like you, apply.**
