Voor deze omgeving zoeken wij professionals met ervaring in air cargo build-up. Dit kan bijvoorbeeld ervaring zijn als ULD Builder, Freight Builder, Cargo Agent of Export Operator binnen een air cargo warehouse.

Binnen dnata bouwen wij aan een specialistisch build-team waarin verschillende niveaus mogelijk zijn, afhankelijk van ervaring en ambitie.

Dit kan variëren van een hands-on Freight Builder rol binnen de export-operatie tot een positie waarin je collega’s ondersteunt, kennis deelt of bijdraagt aan training binnen build-up processen.

Binnen het build-team onderscheiden

we verschillende niveaus:

• ULD / Freight Builder – bouwen van export-ULD’s binnen de operatie
• Build Specialist – werken met complexere builds en airline-specifieke instructies
• Senior Builder – begeleiden van collega’s en bewaken van build-kwaliteit
• Build Trainer / Coach – ondersteunen van training en kennisoverdracht binnen het team

Binnen het team is ruimte voor ervaren builders die zich verder willen ontwikkelen richting specialist of trainer.

Wat ga je doen?

Je werkt binnen de export-operatie en bouwt ULD’s voor vertrekvluchten.

• Opbouwen van export-ULD’s voor widebody- en narrowbody-vliegtuigen

• Werken met vliegtuigpallets en -containers (groter dan standaard truckpallets)

• Bouwen volgens airline-specific instructions en contourprofielen

• Palletizing en cargo build-up volgens airline-instructions

• Correct zekeren, netten en stabiliseren van vracht

• Controleren van gewicht en verdeling binnen de pallet

• Werken onder strakke cut-off tijden richting flight departure

• Signaleren van afwijkingen in lading of documentatie

• Werken volgens safety- en securityprocedures

Je begrijpt dat de kwaliteit van de ULD opbouw direct invloed heeft op veiligheid, balans en punctualiteit.

Ervaring binnen air cargo operations, bijvoorbeeld als:

• ULD Builder
• Freight Builder
• Cargo Agent
• Export Cargo Operator
• Warehouse Operator (air cargo)

Ervaring met build-up of palletizing binnen luchtvracht is een sterke pré.

Verder:

• Ervaring binnen een luchthavenomgeving is een voordeel
• Fysiek belastbaar en nauwkeurig onder tijdsdruk
• Bereidheid om in 24/7 ploegendienst te werken
• Minimaal mbo 2 werk- en denkniveau
• Minimaal 8 jaar woonachtig in de EU (VGB screening vereist)

Deze functie is gericht op export aircraft build.
Het betreft geen algemene warehouse- of truckpallet-rol.

Kandidaten met aantoonbare ervaring binnen air cargo build-up of export warehouse operations hebben een sterke voorkeur.

Om hiervoor in aanmerking te komen, geldt dat je:

• Minimaal 8 jaar aaneengesloten in de EU hebt gewoond

• Een aantoonbare verblijf- en werkhistorie kunt overleggen

• Een positieve veiligheidsscreening kunt doorlopen

Zonder geldige VGB is indiensttreding niet mogelijk.

You work in our modern cargo facility at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, where air freight is handled according to international airline standards, with advanced systems and strict cut-off times.

For this environment we are looking for professionals with experience in air cargo build-up. This may include experience as a ULD Builder, Freight Builder, Cargo Agent or Export Operator within an air cargo warehouse environment.

At dnata we are building a specialised build team where different levels are possible depending on experience and ambition.

This can range from a hands-on Freight Builder role within the export operation to positions where you support colleagues, share knowledge or contribute to training in build-up processes.

Specialised build roles within dnata

Within the build team we distinguish several levels:

• ULD / Freight Builder – building export ULDs within the operation
• Build Specialist – working with more complex builds and airline-specific instructions
• Senior Builder – guiding colleagues and safeguarding build quality
• Build Trainer / Coach – supporting training and knowledge development within the team

Within the team there is room for experienced builders who want to further develop towards a specialist or trainer role.

What will you do?

You will work within the export operation and build ULDs for departing flights.

• Building export ULDs for widebody and narrowbody aircraft
• Working with aircraft pallets and containers
• Building according to airline-specific instructions and contour profiles
• Palletizing and cargo build-up according to airline instructions
• Securing, netting and stabilising cargo correctly
• Monitoring weight and distribution within the pallet
• Working under strict cut-off times for flight departures
• Identifying irregularities in cargo or documentation
• Working according to safety and security procedures

You understand that the quality of the ULD build directly impacts flight safety, balance and operational punctuality.

Requirements

Experience within air cargo operations, for example as:

• ULD Builder
• Freight Builder
• Cargo Agent
• Export Cargo Operator
• Warehouse Operator (air cargo)

Experience with build-up or palletizing within air cargo is a strong advantage.

In addition:

• Experience within an airport environment is an advantage
• Physically fit and able to work accurately under time pressure
• Willing to work in a 24/7 shift schedule
• Minimum MBO level 2 working and thinking level (or equivalent vocational education)
• Minimum 8 years of residence within the EU (required for security screening)

For this position a valid Declaration of No Objection (VGB) is required.

To qualify for this screening you must:

• Have lived continuously within the EU for the past 8 years
• Be able to provide a verifiable employment and residence history
• Successfully pass a security background check

Without a valid VGB clearance employment is not possible.
