Felix Construction is seeking a motivated**Estimator** to join our growing team in the water and wastewater construction industry. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in project bidding, cost analysis, and construction planning.
### What You'll Be Doing (depending on experience level)
As an Estimator, you’ll support the full estimating lifecycle and collaborate closely with senior estimators and project teams. Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing project plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Performing quantity take-offs (concrete, piping, equipment, site civil, etc.)
- Assisting with bid scope development and estimating labor production rates
- Soliciting and coordinating pricing from subcontractors and vendors
- Supporting the preparation and final assembly of project bids
- Participating in internal estimate reviews
- Organizing bid documentation for project turnover
- Maintaining historical cost data and resources
- Monitoring online sources for project opportunities
### Who You Are
**Education & Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
- Internship or coursework related to construction or estimating is a plus
**Skills & Knowledge**
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills
- General understanding of construction methods (concrete, excavation, piping, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam/Adobe
**Certifications**
- OSHA-10 (preferred or willingness to obtain)
