Job description
Working at the OMS Headquarters the intern will assist the work of the Global Ministries department by researching and interviewing partners in the Latin America/Caribbean region to identify the people groups we currently work with and what other groups are in that country. From that information a report will be put together to share with leaders for their various countries. This crucial information will assist leaders in making strategic decisions about ministry engagement. Responsibilities People group surveys for every country OMS works in Latin America/Caribbean Region. Serve as an important member of the Global Ministries team. Collect, record, and analyze data. Use research results to write reports that will be shared with various leaders. Maintain accurate records of findings. Communicate and collaborate with others in the organization. Skills Intercultural studies Spanish language (not required but could be helpful in talking to partners) Organized Research and data collection Ability to work both independently and within a team Attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Flexibility Self-starter Ability to balance multiple tasks/projects at once Details Dates: May 19 - July 25, 2025 Location: OMS Headquarters in Greenwood, Indiana Hours per week: 40 Compensation: $10 an hour Housing: Included at OMS Headquarters Application deadline: January 15, 2025 Short-term Mission Trip to Colombia Although it's optional, it is strongly recommended that the Enthnographic Research Intern takes a short-term mission trip to Colombia during their paid internship. This is an incredible opportunity to visit an OMS field and serve alongside an OMS missionary team for 7-10 days. Expenses for this trip must be raised by the intern; this trip is not paid for by One Mission Society.
