Events Manager, Offsites & Experiences

Job description

Tremendous is the global platform built for businesses to send thousands of payouts to anyone, anywhere, for free. We're trusted by 20,000 organizations like Atlassian, MIT, and United Way to deliver gift cards and money to millions of recipients worldwide. Our customers (researchers, marketers, HR teams, nonprofits, and platform businesses) rave about how fast and easy Tremendous is to use. [Check out our ratings on G2](https://www.g2.com/products/tremendous/reviews). Tremendous is profitable and growing without outside investors. We’re a fully remote, high-documentation, low-meeting culture, which means more time for what matters in both your professional and personal life. The team agrees — our employee NPS is in the high 80s. **About the role** Twice a year, we bring our fully remote team of ~175 people together in an incredible destination. We go all out on these trips, and the team gets excited about them months in advance. [Read more about them in our public handbook](https://app.notion.com/p/311649ed556d4a86b5f3a219412cb959?pvs=21). We’ve traveled together to Mexico City, Lisbon, Medellin, Vail, and Santa Barbara. Our next offsite will be in Seville, Spain, in March 2027. We care about every part of the trip: a great hotel, meals, activities people will actually enjoy, and a few surprises along the way. We’re looking for someone to own these experiences from the early planning through the final day onsite. It takes creativity, operational skill, and great communication. You’ll research destinations, plan the schedule, manage the logistics, and communicate with the team throughout. To the rest of the company, you’ll be the face of one of the most fun parts of working at Tremendous — the person who builds excitement, keeps everyone informed, and sets the tone for the trip. **What you'll be doing** - Own the creative vision, planning, and execution of two company-wide offsites each year for approximately 175 people. - Research potential destinations, find great hotels, restaurants, activities, and entertainment. - Build a schedule with plenty of time for people to connect and enjoy the destination, alongside a small amount of company programming. - Sweat every detail of the attendee experience, from the first announcement and travel guidance through arrival, daily programming, and the trip home. - Manage complex logistics from start to finish, including accommodations, transportation, vendors, meals, accessibility, contingency planning, and onsite execution. - Manage a substantial event budget, knowing when spending more will meaningfully improve the trip and when it won’t. - Build excitement before each offsite and serve as the main point of contact for the team, sharing clear updates, answering questions, and making sure everyone knows what to expect. - Gather feedback after each offsite and use it to continuously improve the experience. - Plan and run smaller team offsites throughout the year, including two GTM offsites, an annual engineering offsite, and occasional gatherings for other teams. - Assist with other company events and occasional special projects, such as logistics for marketing events. **What we’re looking for** - You thrive in a fast-paced environment with ambiguity and are great under pressure when things don’t go well. - You have the ability to quickly grasp business objectives and translate them into an experience. - You bring energy and creativity to developing team activities. - You proactively identify potential issues with scheduling, travel, and projects and seek solutions. - You can take feedback and incorporate it into future events without compromising on vision. **You have** - 2+ years in internal event planning or a similar role that requires substantial planning. - Experience producing memorable, high-touch events. - You’re a clear, warm communicator who enjoys working with people across the company. - Exceptional attention to detail. **What's cool about the role** - We take these trips seriously. You’ll have a meaningful budget, plenty of support, and broad ownership over an experience that touches everyone at the company. - **Competitive pay and equity.** Base salary for this role: $110,000–$140,000. - **Real benefits.** 100% covered health (US), unlimited PTO, 12-16 weeks paid parental leave. - **Fully remote.** Work from anywhere in the Americas. - **Great culture.** Read more about how we work in our [**public handbook**](https://handbook.tremendous.com/).
