This role will be responsible for development of the team for workstream leadership and service delivery. Reporting to the Associate Chief Information Officer, Business and Financial Applications, the Executive Director is responsible for: Ensure Workday domains effectively support organizational goals, optimize operational performance, and enable data-driven decision-making. Collaborate with executive leadership to identify opportunities for digital transformation and automation. Lead the vision and strategy for the Workday platform across the enterprise. This role partners closely with business leaders, IS teams, and external vendors to align technology strategies with business needs and future growth. Oversee the Workday lifecycle to ensure the platform is scalable, secure, and interoperable across departments. Ensure application strategies support enterprise-wide goals and priorities. Manage business analysis, application development, and system implementation to meet stakeholder and alignment to program capabilities. Drive continuous improvement in project delivery, system upgrades, integrations, and user adoption. Evaluate, negotiate, and manage relationships with software vendors, service providers, and implementation partners. Oversee contracts, SLAs, and vendor performance to ensure value delivery. Lead and mentor a team of application managers, developers, analysts, and solution architects including developing leadership skills when applicable. Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and excellence. Ensure compliance with internal policies, data protection regulations, and industry standards. Establish and enforce application governance, change management, release management, and security protocols. Skills: Ability to lead multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and prioritize decisions and tasks effectively. Strong process management and business orientation skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to adjust to changing priorities, circumstances, and interpersonal styles. Self-starter with a proven ability to foster collaboration across projects. Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, architecture, and integration. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong experience in release management, UAT, testing, issues remediation, and long-term application lifecycle management. Proficiency in Workday modules, especially Finance. Workday pro-certifications are highly desirable. Additional Job Description Requirements (Education, Experience, Licensure, Registry, Certification ): Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business. 10+ years of progressive experience in IS leadership roles, with a focus on enterprise business applications. 10+ years of expertise in Workday support. Proven experience in leading enterprise application strategies and digital transformation initiatives for non-clinical applications.
