Job Description Summary The Segment Leader will lead an organization focused on strategy, execution and continuous improvement of wing-to-wing materials processes. This role would partner with the Value Stream (VS) Leaders to develop a customer-focused environment that maximizes on-time delivery (OTD) while minimizing inventory. The Segment Leader serves as the primary integrator across cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment (with VS and Sourcing) between planning outputs and physical execution, while proactively identifying and mitigating risks (with Commercial, Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and Engineering Teams) to protect delivery and business performance. Job Description Key Responsibilities: End-to-End Supply Chain Execution Own execution from demand signal through supplier delivery, manufacturing readiness, and fulfillment Align segment planning with value stream/site execution Resolve constraints across suppliers, manufacturing, and logistics Cross-Functional Integration Lead alignment across Engineering, Supplier Quality (SQE), Sourcing, Product Management, Operations, Commercial, and Suppliers Drive decisions on cross-functional tradeoffs and prioritization Risk Management & Escalation Identify and mitigate supply, quality, and execution risks Own escalation with clear recovery actions and tradeoffs Ensure visibility to key risks and constraints Operating System Leadership Lead execution rhythms, reviews, and escalation forums Drive adherence to standard work, planning processes, and data integrity Improve transparency and predictability of execution Supplier & Manufacturing Performance Own supplier performance (delivery, quality, readiness) with Sourcing/SQE Ensure manufacturing readiness and capacity alignment Translate technical constraints into supply actions Business Outcome Ownership Own On-Time Delivery (OTD), lead time, and reliability management Balance inventory, cost, and risk Improve Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) and execution stability Materials Management & Planning Excellence Synchronize schedules, capacity plans, and execution via ERP/ Operational tools landscape Drive SIOP/CRP inputs and KPI performance Ensure data accuracy and system discipline Leadership & Capability Development Lead and develop a high-performing team Build capability in planning, execution, and problem-solving Drive accountability and continuous improvement Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply chain, or related field Significant experience in supply chain, materials management, manufacturing, or operations Demonstrated leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities Ability to lead and influence across all levels of the organization Key Skills & Competencies: End-to-end supply chain ownership and execution leadership Cross-functional influence and stakeholder alignment Risk identification, mitigation, and escalation Strong operational and manufacturing understanding Data-driven decision making and systems fluency (ERP, planning tools) Leadership, coaching, and organizational development Customer-focused mindset with strong business acumen For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $192,000 and $288,000 USD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
