This rewarding role involves supporting individuals referred through the GP Referral Programme to improve their health, wellbeing and confidence through safe and effective physical activity.You will assess participants, develop tailored exercise programmes and provide ongoing support and guidance to help clients achieve their health goals. Working closely with healthcare professionals, colleagues and customers, you will play an important role in improving community health outcomes while delivering outstanding customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct assessments and supervise participants on the GP Referral ProgrammeDesign safe and effective exercise programmes based on individual needsProvide instruction on the correct and safe use of fitness equipmentMonitor participant progress and adapt programmes where requiredEvaluate programme outcomes and support continuous improvementSupport the development and promotion of health and wellbeing initiativesAssist with wider fitness centre operations when requiredIn the event that a high volume of suitable applications are received, the post may close prior to the specified closing date. Requirements

Skills & Experience
- Level 3 fitness qualification
- GP Referral qualification (training can be provided)
- Experience working within a leisure, fitness or health related environment
- First Aid at Work qualification
- Defibrillation training
- Good levels of numeracy and literacy
- Computer literacy and confidence using digital systems
- Experience developing and monitoring exercise programmes
- Understanding of health improvement and exercise referral schemes
- Previous customer service experience within a fitness or leisure setting
