Expression of Interest (United Kingdom)

Job description

The Role: If you're here it's because what we're building at Gridsight resonates with you, but you haven't found a role that quite fits you (if you haven't looked, view all of our current openings here ). At Gridsight, we hire exceptional people - even when they don’t fit neatly into an open role. We care less about pedigree, titles, or a perfectly matched résumé. Above all, we care about four things: Bias for impact: You pursue meaningful outcomes and make things happen. Exceptional learning: You learn unusually quickly and turn insight into action. Deep motivation: You’re hungry to do ambitious work and raise the bar. Low ego: You seek truth, welcome feedback, and care more about the result than the credit. If you genuinely epitomise these four things, we would rather shape a role around you than miss the chance to work with you. Think this is you? Share what you've done, how you made an impact, and why Gridsight speaks to you - in whatever format works best for you. This is an opportunity for those looking to do their life's work. If you're hungry to tackle challenging problems alongside exceptional people, we want to hear from you. If that isn't you, self select out now. We review submissions to our Expressions of Interest opening on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month and reach out to those who leave an indelible mark. Electricity grids are undergoing the most significant transformation in a century. The shift to renewables, the proliferation of rooftop solar, batteries and EVs, and the increasing complexity of distribution networks are forcing utilities to operate their grids in fundamentally new ways. Gridsight's vertical SaaS platform uses data, ML and AI to help grid operators modernise their operations and unlock transformational new capabilities. We deliver visibility into the grid edge, faster renewable connections, and real-time orchestration of distributed energy. The opportunity is enormous ($1B+ ARR). We're embedded with over 50% of Australia's distribution networks, more than 30% in New Zealand, and have 1 of the top 5 utilities in the US as our lighthouse. Airtree led our Series A, we grew ARR 3.4x in the past 6 months, we are well funded and we're on the path to build the first truly generational utility software company. We are a team of builders. What unites us is that we’re curious, hungry and obsessed with maximising the impact we can deliver to Gridsight and the energy transition.
