Job description

What's in it for you... Become part of a team that’s very passionate about creating great hospitality experiences. Competitive salary. Tickets restaurant. Enjoy a free night at The Hoxton and a meal for two when you first start with us. Training to get you settled into your role with ongoing development that helps you think, make and thrive to set you up for success at work. Time off to volunteer with one of our partner charities. An annual diversity and inclusion calendar of events creating opportunities for you to learn, celebrate and make a positive impact. Regular team get togethers, from our High Fives to our (pretty special!) team parties – we know how to have a good time! The chance to challenge the norm and work in an environment that is both creative and rewarding. Join an innovative, fast-growing, international group that is shaking things up on the hospitality scene. Excellent discounts across The Hoxton and the global Ennismore family. What you’ll do… Lead a dynamic team, overseeing multiple food and beverage outlets, including a diverse events space. Drive revenue through strategic management of commercial initiatives with the leadership team. Your creativity will inspire the team to deliver beyond set expectations. Have a firm grip on the P&L and take ownership over the costs of the business, always striving to find efficient solutions whilst keeping the quality high and the experience top notch. Work closely with the Executive Chef on menu development and to ensure food quality and consistency is always where it should be. Both guest and team experience will be at the heart of all you do. You will lead from the front and your presence in the business will be felt by the team and guests alike. What we’re looking for… Individuals. You’re looking for a place where you can be you; no clones in suits here. Passion for hospitality – whether that’s a drink, a meal, an event or a bed for the night. You’re all about having a positive impact on the people you interact with, leaving them with a memorable experience. You’re not precious. We leave our egos at the door and help get things done. You’re up for doing things differently and trying (almost) everything once. If we got stuck in a lift together, we’d have a good time and share a few laughs. You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other, and has fun along the way. A track record of leading large teams in restaurants, kitchens, bars and banquets; you’re a natural at inspiring trust and bringing others along on a journey. 2+ years’ experience in a similar food and beverage management/director role, either across multiple sites or a single £4m+ revenue per year business. Multi departmental budgeting and forecasting experience; a clear understanding of the financial expectations of a successful restaurant and bar business. An ability to manage the budget on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. You’ll be expected to report results with a granular understanding of the ongoing trends of the business. Exceptional attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, juggling many things at once, but always dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s. Range annual gross salary €55.000-€65.000 The Hoxton Florence The Hoxton has officially opened in Florence – the capital of Tuscany and a city famed for its Renaissance masterpieces, stunning architecture, and iconic landmarks. Bursting with culture (and as the birthplace of gelato), Florence felt like the perfect spot to become our second home in Italy. The Hoxton in Florence feature 161 beautiful bedrooms of varying sizes, a large ground floor restaurant, bar, lobby, rooftop and courtyard. There is also a basement meeting and events space. More about us… The Hoxton is a series of open-house hotels, each in a neighbourhood that we love. Ever since we opened our first hotel in Shoreditch, we’ve never just been about offering a bed for the night. We want to be more than that: proving style doesn’t need to be sacrificed for good value and providing a place where guests can hang out alongside the locals and submerse themselves in the neighbourhood with vibrant, welcoming public spaces.
