The Fabricator is responsible for reading and understanding schematics and blueprints and fabricating metal parts and structures per the customer request, working with mostly stainless steel. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Layout (fitting)
- Use of brake, shear and saw
- Use of iron worker
- Welding
- Polishing/finishing welds
- Assist with various shop projects, including shop maintenance
- Fabrication of various jobs/projects
- Able to read blueprints/drawing/sketches
- Read and understand schematics and blueprints
- Conduct quality control checks
- Work closely with designers & engineers & product development
- Accurate and timely completion of all daily paperwork
Requirements
- Completion of High School or equivalent
- Metal Fabricator/Fitter 437A or equivalent
- Previous 1-4 years of fabrication experience
- Stainless Steel TIG welding experience as a must
- CWB tickets considered a strong asset
- You have a get it done attitude and are skilled at removing barriers
