Facilities Attendant

Job description

Five Generations of Craft For five generations, we’ve carried the craft of butchery in our hands and our hearts. Born in Clonmel and now grown across Ireland, our story has travelled far, yet its heart remains the same. We celebrate where we’ve come from, and our next chapter is rooted in education, empowering every person in our team to grow, create, and lead. We don’t just cut meat, we carve memories, season communities, and nourish connection. Every joint, every sausage, every slice tells a tale of care, craft, and commitment. Now, we’re looking for the next generation to join a team recognised as a Great Place to Work® 2026 , where every hand, heart, and mind matters. Those Who Bring It to Life We’re always seeking special people. Those who believe excellence is an attitude, learning never ends, and the warmth of a smile is as important as the sharpness of a knife. Whether your passion lies in butchery, production, operations or people and culture, there’s a place for you here — with pathways to grow, develop, and explore new roles as your journey unfolds. Guardian of Cleanliness & Care Our Facilities Attendants are the custodians of hygiene, order, and pride. They are the quiet heartbeat of our shops, ensuring that every surface gleams, every space feels welcoming, and every visit is safe and memorable. This isn’t just cleaning — this is stewardship. Every sweep, every polish, every check is an act of care, preserving the integrity of our food, the safety of our team, and the experience of our customers. Here, cleanliness isn’t a chore, it’s an expression of pride. Our Facilities Attendants hold the standard high. They are essential, valued, and seen. If you take pride in detail, in creating environments where hygiene is at the forefront, and in knowing that your work touches everyone who walks through the door, you belong here. A Place to Grow and Flourish Everyday magic — through our partnership with Dunnes Stores, your Privilege Discount Card brings little moments of joy and real savings to your family and home. A hand when you need it — life isn’t always simple. Our Employee Assistance Programme in partnership with VHI offers confidential, compassionate guidance whenever you need someone in your corner. Pride in every stitch — We provide uniforms, lovingly crafted with Irish-owned Uniformal, honouring our butchery heritage. Comfortable, strong, and made with care, they are a quiet reminder of the pride we take in every creation. Your journey, your pace — with our driving lesson incentive, we help you gain independence, confidence, and skills that take you further, in work and in life. Invested in tomorrow — We provide a pension scheme to help you feel secure and supported, allowing you to dream, plan, and build your future alongside us. A foundation to flourish — the James Whelan Butchers Foundation offers scholarships and development opportunities, reflecting our belief in your talent, your ambition, and your potential. A space to create This is more than work — it’s a space to create, to share, and to honour a five-generation story of quality and service. If you feel that food is felt as much as it is made, and that every gesture matters, you belong here. Join us, and let’s craft something special — together.
