Field & Events Marketing Manager

Job description

**About Stepful**: Stepful is a workforce platform redefining how America's largest health systems build, train, and retain their talent. Since our founding in 2021, Stepful’s trained over 32,000 practice-ready healthcare workers. Layering onto our successful direct-to-consumer training, Stepful partners with leading healthcare institutions to address the growing national shortage of healthcare workers. We’re improving access to quality healthcare for everyone, everywhere, and improving access to healthcare career ladders for those who need them most. Our students form the talent pipelines for major employers such as NY-Presbyterian, Mt. Sinai, HCA, Providence, CVS, and Walgreens. We have partnerships with half of the top 10 health systems in the US and are in process with many more. Stepful is backed by Y Combinator, Reach Capital, and AlleyCorp, with [a recent $55M Series C led by Oak HC/FT](https://www.stepful.com/post/stepful-announces-55m-series-c-to-scale-its-ai-powered-training-platform-across-the-healthcare-workforce). We’re looking for mission-driven builders who thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, and embody our four core values: - **Care first**: We do whatever it takes for our students to succeed. - **Learn quickly**: We test, learn with data, and iterate. - **Build together**: We win when we rely on each other. - **Own it**: We show up, take initiative, and show pride. ## **The opportunity:** Events are one of the most direct ways we get in front of the health system and workforce leaders who partner with Stepful. We're hiring a Field & Events Marketing Manager to run that program: getting every event executed well, making sure every conversation is captured and followed up, and turning what we learn into better events next season. You'll run a seasonal calendar of about two events a month (up to four in the fall) working alongside our events contractor and partnering with Growth leadership on overall event strategy. You'll also run our paid webinar program and help launch a Stepful-hosted event in 2027. We're looking for someone who is scrappy and self-sufficient, and who can build the processes they need rather than waiting for them. This opportunity can be hybrid, based out of our NYC office, or fully remote, reporting into our Director, Enterprise Marketing. This role involves up to 30% travel. ## **What you'll do:** **Event Execution** - Manage end-to-end execution for conferences, trade shows, and sponsored events, including logistics, booth and materials, staffing, budgets, and vendor coordination - Coordinate the work of our events contractor and outside vendors so every event ships on time and on budget - Prepare the team for each event with target account lists, briefing docs, and meeting schedules, in partnership with our Workforce Solutions team **Lead Capture & Follow-Up** - Implement and maintain event lead tagging in HubSpot so every lead and attendee is attributed correctly - Run post-event follow-up sequences and hand off warm conversations to sales quickly - Track attendee engagement after each event and share insights that shape which events we invest in next **Webinars & New Programs** - Run our paid webinar program, from topic and speaker coordination to promotion, production, and follow-up, with support from product marketing - Support planning and execution for a Stepful-hosted event next year - Build simple, repeatable playbooks and checklists, and experiment with AI tools to speed up event prep and follow-up ## **What you'll bring:** - 5+ years of events or field marketing experience, including at a startup - A track record of managing several events at once from start to finish, including budgets, vendors, and on-site execution - Hands-on experience setting up lead capture and campaign tagging in a CRM or marketing automation tool (HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo, or similar) - Experience running webinars or virtual events from promotion through follow-up - Scrappiness: you're comfortable building your own processes and tools when there isn't infrastructure in place - Strong project management and communication skills, and a habit of flagging risks early to sales and marketing partners - Willingness to travel to events, including during the busy fall season ## **Bonus points if:** - You've run events for healthcare, health system, or HR and workforce audiences - You've helped launch a company's own flagship event or customer summit - You've worked in EdTech, workforce development, or healthcare ## **Interview Process:** - Introductory call with Talent Acquisition team member - Interview with Hiring Manager - Take-Home Assignment - Virtual Panel Interview - On-Site Panel Interview ## **Benefits and Compensation:** - Meaningful Equity Stake - Subsidized Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance plan options - 401(k) - FSA, HSA and commuter benefits - Learning stipend - Open vacation policy, including: - Guidance of 15 days PTO annually - Stepful closed the last week of December - 15 work-from-anywhere days - 10 public holidays observed for 2026 The target base salary range for this opportunity is **$110,000 - $130,000**, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including equity and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, internal pay equity and other relevant business considerations. **Stepful is proud to be an equal opportunity employer**. We do not discriminate in hiring or any employment decision based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, marital status, ancestry, disability, genetic information, veteran status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, pregnancy, or other applicable legally protected characteristic. -- In light of recent hiring scams, if you're selected to move onto the next phase of our hiring process, a member of our Talent Acquisition team will reach out to you directly from an **@stepful.com** email address to guide you through our interview process.
