Finance Manager (Controllership Focus)

We are looking for a **high-performing Accountant** with strong technical accounting fundamentals and a **finance transformation mindset**. Beyond core accounting and reporting, you will help transform Finance through **AI, automation, data and technology**, improving efficiency, controls, scalability and decision-making. Experience in **consulting, finance transformation or technology-enabled finance**, particularly within FinTech or digital assets, is highly valued. ### Responsibilities - Manage financial and management reporting, including **cash flow, tax, GST, budgeting and statutory reporting**. - Prepare and review **annual reports, statutory accounts and management reports**. - Perform and review **revenue, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations**. - Ensure compliance with **accounting standards, tax regulations and corporate governance requirements**. - Liaise with **auditors, tax agents and external advisors**. - Identify and deliver opportunities to **automate, simplify and transform finance processes**. - Leverage **AI, GenAI, automation, data analytics and technology** to improve accounting efficiency, accuracy and scalability. - Partner with Finance Systems, Data, Engineering and business teams to implement **technology-enabled finance solutions**. - Lead or support **process improvement and finance transformation initiatives**, challenging existing ways of working. - Translate complex accounting requirements into **practical, scalable solutions**. ### Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accountancy / Finance, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification. - **8+ years' relevant experience** in accounting, financial reporting, consulting or finance transformation. - Strong technical accounting, analytical and reconciliation skills. - Experience in **finance transformation, automation or consulting** is highly preferred. - Strong interest in **AI, GenAI, automation, data and emerging finance technologies**. - Advanced **MS Excel** skills; ERP, BI, workflow automation or financial systems experience is a plus. - Strong communication, stakeholder management and project management skills. - Able to work independently in a **fast-paced, ambiguous environment**. - Highly detail-oriented, curious and willing to challenge the status quo.
