Finance Manager, Marketing

Job description

## **AI at Zapier** At [Zapier](https://zapier.com/about), we build and use automation every day to make work more efficient, creative, and human. So if you’re using AI tools while applying here - that’s great! We just ask that you use them **responsibly and transparently**. Check out our guidance on [**How to Collaborate with AI During Zapier’s Hiring Process**](https://zapier.com/l/jobs/ai-at-zapier)**,** including how to use AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or others during our hiring process - and when not to. **Job Posted:** September 21, 2026 Hi there! We're looking for a Finance Manager to be the dedicated finance partner for Zapier's marketing organization. This is a unique opportunity to own the full financial picture for one of the most strategically important spend areas at the company - headcount, budget, and channel investment while playing a key role in connecting marketing activity to pipeline and revenue outcomes. You'll report into the Head of GTM Finance and partner closely with marketing leadership, working closely with Sales FP&A and Corporate FP&A to establish a clean interlock between marketing, sales, and company level financials. - [Our Commitment to Applicants](https://zapier.com/jobs/our-commitment-to-applicants/) - [Culture and Values at Zapier](https://zapier.com/jobs/culture-and-values-at-zapier/) - [Zapier Guide to Remote Work](https://zapier.com/learn/remote-work/) - [Zapier Code of Conduct](https://zapier.com/jobs/zapier-code-of-conduct/) - [Diversity and Inclusivity at Zapier](https://zapier.com/jobs/working-on-diversity-and-inclusivity/) ### **About You** - This isn’t your first rodeo. You have 4-6+ years of accounting/finance-specific experience, with 2+ years of working with Marketing or GTM orgs. A background in Big 4 Accounting, Investment Banking, or Management Consulting with meaningful ownership of operating expense areas - You're comfortable owning a budget end to end, including headcount, spend actuals, and purchase orders, and communicating variance clearly to non-finance stakeholders - You have a strong grasp of channel-level marketing economics (pipeline generation vs. brand), cost per pipe, and how to connect spend to downstream pipeline and revenue outcomes - You're comfortable with ambiguity - able to structure a loosely-defined problem yourself rather than needing it handed to you fully scoped - You have good judgment and a bias toward surfacing issues and opportunities proactively, not waiting to be asked - You actively use AI tools to work more efficiently, with the judgment to know when to go deep manually and when to lean on the tool - You're a strong written and verbal communicator, able to turn a complex analysis into a short, clear executive takeaway with guidance from your manager - Experience with Google Sheets, a data warehouse (Databricks or Snowflake), NetSuite, Zip, and HubSpot is preferred ### **Things You’ll Do** - Own marketing FP&A end-to-end: headcount planning, budget building, and actuals tracking, so marketing leadership always has a clear, current view of where things stand against plan - Own channel allocation analysis (demand generation vs. brand) and drive ROI-by-channel reporting - Work on sales pipeline forecasting based on spend, as part of setting GTM targets and ARR modeling, flagging risks to pipeline coverage or targets early - Serve as an embedded business partner to marketing leadership - not a once-a-month reporting function, but someone marketing trusts to think through decisions with in real time - Track purchase orders and vendor commitments against budget, flagging overspend risk before it happens - Analyze the connection between marketing spend, pipeline generation, and closed-won revenue, working cross-functionally with Sales and RevOps - Partner with the Data team to establish and govern pipeline reporting definitions (leads, MQLs, opportunities) so the funnel is consistent end to end - Use AI to automate recurring finance processes, building skills and agents that can run parts of month-end close and re-forecasting cycles ## **How to Apply** At Zapier, we believe that diverse perspectives and experiences make us better, which is why we have a non-standard application process designed to promote inclusion and equity. We're looking for the best fit for each of our roles, regardless of the type of companies in your background, so we encourage you to apply even if your skills and experiences don’t exactly match the job description. All we ask is that you answer a few in-depth questions in our application that would typically be asked at the start of an interview process. This helps speed things up by letting us get to know you and your skillset a bit better right out of the gate. Please be sure to answer each question; the resume and CV fields are optional. Education is not a requirement for our roles; however, if you receive an offer, you will need to include your most recent educational experience as part of our background check process. After you apply, you are going to hear back from us—even if we don’t see an immediate fit with our team. In fact, throughout the process, we strive to never go more than seven days without letting you know the status of your application. We know we’ll make mistakes from time to time, so if you ever have questions about where you stand or about the process, just ask your recruiter! Zapier is an equal-opportunity employer and we're excited to work with talented and empathetic people of all identities.
