Financial Crime Senior Manager or Director - Financial Services Risk Consulting The opportunity As a Director or Senior Manager in Financial Crime Compliance within our Financial Services Risk Management team, you will play a leading role in helping Australia’s largest banks, insurers and financial institutions strengthen and transform their financial crime compliance governance, risk and control environments. You will work directly with senior risk and compliance stakeholders to provide advice, independent assurance and practical insights on some of the industry’s most significant risk, regulatory and transformation challenges. You’ll join a collaborative and dyna mic team that combines risk and controls, delivery, transformation and technology expertise, meaning you will get exposure across a broad range of domains. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced financial crime risk professional, auditor or consultant looking to accelerate their career, lead complex engagements and build trusted advisor relationships with senior client stakeholders. Your key responsibilities As a Financial Crime Compliance Director or Senior Manager in our Financial Services Risk Management team, you will: Lead the planning, execution and reporting of various financial crime compliance assurance, advisory and transformation engagements across banking, insurance and wealth management. Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and risk leaders. Identify emerging risks, control weaknesses and improvement opportunities, translating technical findings into practical business outcomes. Evaluate governance, risk management and control frameworks across financial crime and technology risk environments. Support clients transform their financial crime operations by reimagining their end to end processes with technology and AI enabled solutions. Apply data analytics and technology-enabled techniques to provide deeper insights and more efficient assurance outcomes. Lead engagement teams, coaching and developing junior team members to deliver high-quality client outcomes. Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, maintaining quality, commercial performance and delivery deadlines. Lead business development activities, proposals and thought leadership initiatives across the Financial Services market, building a strong network of clients. Support clients through major regulatory, risk transformation and control uplift programmes. Opportunity to also assist clients in other industries manage their financial crime risks. We’re interested in your strengths, what you want to learn, and how far you want to go. 6 - 10 years’ Financial Crime Compliance experience within Financial Services, with a strong understanding of industry-specific risk and control environments. Experience within banking, insurance, wealth management, financial services consulting or a financial services regulator. Strong understanding of risk management, controls, governance and assurance frameworks. Ability to build credibility with senior stakeholders and communicate complex issues clearly and confidently. Interest in exploring technology and AI enabled solutions. Experience leading engagements and developing high-performing teams. Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes. Strong report writing skills and experience of agreeing and presenting internal audit findings and action plans. Experience using data analytics, technology-enabled assurance approaches or audit automation tools is highly regarded.
