Financial Data Analyst

Job description

About seQura seQura provides innovative, flexible and easy-to-use payment technologies that help merchants acquire, convert and retain more customers. We make a difference in sales performance by tailoring our solutions to different sectors, to address their unique pain points and deliver superior results in Retail, Education, Eyewear and Travel. We also empower smart shopping to consumers who seek more value, convenience, and flexibility in their shopping, with new payment experiences that allow them to save, access interest-free credit, or pay in small, comfortable installments of up to 24 months. Born in Barcelona, seQura is a privately-owned fintech, currently expanding throughout southern Europe and Latin America, growing above 50% CAGR. Over 6000 businesses, almost 3 million shoppers, and almost 400 employees continue to rate us as one of the most loved and trusted fintechs out there. About the role 🤓 Finance at SeQura has evolved to building the infrastructure that powers forward-looking, insight-driven decisions. We are looking for builders, not classic FP&A profiles: people who have worked hands-on with AI tools, structured real databases, understand the business deeply, and get energy from turning messy manual processes into clean, automated ones. If you are excited by the idea of building an AI-first finance data platform for forecasting, planning, reporting, and decision-making, this role is for you. What challenges you'll be solving 🚀 Build the financial data backbone of SeQura. Help design, build, and maintain the single source of financial truth across P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, and unit economics; the data layer that everything else relies on. Build tools, not reports. Use AI (Claude), automation, and our data stack to create the models, pipelines, and tools that replace manual work and make insight available in real time. Proactively find and kill inefficiency. Proactively hunt down slow, manual, or fragile processes and re-engineer them. Own the problem end to end from spotting it to shipping the fix that sticks. Partner with the business. Work as a true finance partner through budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, scenario planning, but with the goal of building the systems that make this faster and sharper every cycle. Move to continuous, driver-based planning. Help shift to rolling, driver-based forecasts and dynamic scenario analysis, powered by the infrastructure you build. Turn data into decisions. Prepare Board-, leadership-, and investor-ready materials that turn complex data into clear recommendations and build the tooling that makes producing them near-automatic. Raise the bar on the stack. Drive adoption of our finance and analytics tools (AI, Abacum, BI, automation, anomaly detection) to improve scalability, reduce manual work, and increase trust in analytics. Proactively identifying opportunities to automate before being asked to do so. Help build a real-time decision engine. Contribute to a Strategic Finance function that runs on ownership, automation, and analytical rigor, not manual reporting. What we offer 😎 We have a strong and sustainable foundation, where we provide a secure and reliable workplace. You have the freedom and trust to make the best contribution possible. One of our most valued strengths by our employees is our fellowship and supportive culture, which fosters a sense of belonging by working closely with our values. With us, you will have challenging projects to work on and push your skills and knowledge. In addition, we are very proud of the unique office we have, which offers a comfortable and inspiring environment to work in with everything you need. 23 vacation days + 2 days of free disposal per year. Professional development workshops or seminars. Flexible compensation plan for transportation, restaurants, and kindergarten with Cobee. Health insurance discounts with Sanitas and Adeslas. Urban mobility by using your own bike with Kleta. Free access to healthy, organic, and sustainable fruits. Moreover, we offer a Wellness Program that embraces a holistic approach by covering 6 areas (occupational, physical, financial, emotional, social, and environmental consciousness). Each area will include various activities, and you'll be able to choose from 34 different activities that best meet your needs to configure a plan that best works for you. What you’ll need 🤝 Genuinely curious and relentless; someone who actively questions existing processes, experiments with new tools (including AI), and has a track record of finding better ways to do things without being asked. We're not looking for someone who waits for permission to improve. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, or a similarly analytical role in a high-growth fintech, SaaS, lending, or other complex environment. Proven ability to build and run driver-based financial models across P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, and unit economics. Strong bias for action, with the ability to turn ambiguity into clear structure, decisions, and adopted solutions. Systems thinker with strong analytical rigor and attention to detail. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to translate complexity into clear business insight. Active use of AI tools in day-to-day work, not just awareness, but genuine integration into how you work. Someone who has already replaced manual tasks with automation and who keeps looking for the next one. Strong Excel and financial systems skills; experience with NetSuite, Abacum, and Embat is a plus. Fluent in English; Spanish is a strong plus. We kindly ask that you submit your CV in English, as it is the official language of our community. We promote equal opportunity to all, regardless of age, color, gender identity, medical condition, physical or mental disability, race, religion, sexual orientation, or other characteristics. We have an inclusive environment, and respect is above all. Do you want to be part of the change? Join us! 👇
